Aden Ahmed Sugow is a Kenyan politician and a leading businessman from Garissa County. He belonged to the Kenya African National Union and later the Orange Democratic Movement. He was elected Member of Parliament for Fafi Constituency in Garissa County in 2002 and served until 2013. He was appointed Assistant Minister for Water and Irrigation in 2004 and was in 2008 transferred to the Ministry of Public Service as an Assistant Minister.
Aden Sugow is the Son of prominent and then powerful colonial Chief Senior Chief Sugow Ahmed. The Sugow family is one of the most prominent families in Northern Kenya.
With regards to marriage,Aden Sugow has followed in his polygamous father's footsteps and is thus married to three wives and is a father to 13 children.
Aden Sugow attendedt Bura Primary school and then later attended Nairobi School for his secondary education. He is a trained military pilot. He has a diploma in aeronautical engineering and a postgraduate diploma in military intelligence and International Security. He also has attained an executive MBA from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology.
Sugow joined the military in 1981 as a cadet and rose through the ranks to the level of Major. He also served in the UN as a diplomat in Iran and Iraq. He retired from the military in 1997 and joined active politics. He was elected as Member of Parliament for the first time in 2002. Despite being a freshman, he was immediately appointed Assistant Minister in the newly formed Narc government under Mwai Kibaki.
Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed was a Somali politician and former colonel in the Somali National Army. He was one of the founders of the Somali Salvation Democratic Front, as well as the Puntland state of Somalia, the latter of which he served as the first president. In 2004, Ahmed also helped establish the Transitional Federal Government, which he led as President of Somalia from 2004 until 2008.

Immediately prior, Kituyi was Chief Executive of the Kenya Institute of Governance, based in Nairobi. He served as Kenya's Minister of Trade and Industry from 2002 to 2007. He dropped his presidential bid in March 2022 to support former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

He has served as assistant minister in the ministries of justice, transport and local government before being appointed a minister in the ministries of Nairobi Metropolitan then Kenya's finance minister. He was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Kenya- US ambassador on 14/08/2014. He was later transferred to Vienna in May 2019 as Kenya’s ambassador to Austria where he is currently serving.
Major-General Joseph Kasaine Ole Nkaissery was a Kenyan politician. He was a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Kenya from 2002 to 2014, when he resigned to take up a cabinet position as Secretary for Internal Security and Coordination of National Government. He was also a senior elder of the Maasai community until his sudden death on 8 July 2017.

Mohamed Yusuf Haji was a Kenyan politician. He was the Minister of Defence of Kenya from 2008 to 2013, and briefly served as its acting Minister of Internal Security and Provincial Affairs in 2012. He has served in the Senate of Kenya since 2013 under the jubilee party. He died on 15 February 2021.

Nathif Jama Adam, EGH, is a Kenyan banker, writer and politician. Adam has served as the governor of Garissa County since August 2022. He was initially elected to the position in March 2013 to become the pioneer Governor of Garissa County and served until 2017. After failing to win the 2017 elections, he was elected once again in August 2022. Prior to joining politics, he was the Managing Director of First Community Bank. He was also previously a Senior Vice President and the Head of Sharjah Islamic Bank's Investments & International Banking Division. He co-authored the first book on sukuk investments.
Wavinya Ndeti EGH is a Kenyan politician and a business woman who is serving as the 2nd Governor of Machakos County. She previously served as a Member of Parliament for the Kathiani Constituency in the 10th Kenyan parliament and an assistant minister in the ministry of youth affairs and sport from 2008 to 2013. She was the first woman to be elected as a member of parliament in Machakos county since independence. She was a CCU candidate in 2013 and WDM-K candidate in 2017 for Machakos Governor.

Abdikadir Omar Aden is a Kenyan politician a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya elected from Balambala Constituency, Garissa County on the ticket of Orange Democratic Movement in 2013. He lost his reelection bid in 2017.
