The 1981–82 season was FC Dinamo București's 33rd season in Divizia A. Dinamo dominated both national competitions, winning the tenth championship title and the fourth Romanian Cup. The UEFA Cup season brings some great wins for Dinamo. The red-whites meet Levski Sofia, team of Sirakov and Iskrenov. In the second round, a terrifying "double": Dinamo-Internazionale. At Milan, 1-1 and back home in Bucharest, 3-2 for the "dogs", in the extra time! Dinamo is eliminated by the Swedish team IFK Göteborg, managed by Sven-Göran Eriksson, which later ends up winning the trophy.

Adrian Iordache is a retired Romanian football striker. He made 89 appearances in Liga I and also played in the top division in Greece and in second division in Germany.

Dinamo played a thrilling game vs. Manchester United in Bucharest in the third qualification round of the UEFA Champions League, but lost 1–2. This game was significant because it showed considerable progress from the last attempts to qualify for the group phase of the Champions League. The second leg was lost at Old Trafford 3–0. In the UEFA Cup 2004–05 season Dinamo was eliminated by Partizan Belgrade.

The 2003–04 season was FC Dinamo București's 55th season in Divizia A. After building up a team again in 2003–04, Dinamo eliminated Shakhtar Donetsk in the first round of the UEFA Cup 2003–04 season. They went on to lose to Spartak Moscow in the second round.

The 2001–02 season was FC Dinamo București's 53rd season in Divizia A. In this season, Dinamo became Romanian champions for the 16th time in history. Dinamo was eliminated quickly from the UEFA Cup, and concentrated only on the internal competition. Thus, after the first half of the season, Dinamo was leader with two points over the revelation FC Național. In March 2002, Dinamo defeated Rapid 3–2, and distanced itself to five points at the front of the standings, and Cristian Borcea, Dinamo's president, launched after the game the famous sentence: "Let us prepare for the Champions League"

Pompiliu Iordache was a Romanian football forward. He opened the score in the 3–2 victory from the 1982 Cupa României Final against FC Baia Mare, helping Dinamo București win the forth cup in the club's history.

The 9th European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Individual Championships were held from 21–25 April 2021 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. The 2021 European Championships were an Olympic qualifying event, with two individual spots available for both disciplines. Russia earned a non-nominative quota spot in both disciplines, while Turkey's Adem Asil and Romania's Larisa Iordache qualified nominative berths for themselves in men's and women's artistic gymnastics, respectively.
