AfterBuzz TV is an online news website created by Maria Menounos [1] and produced by Keven Undergaro that specializes in pop culture content related to several television series including Game of Thrones , Big Brother , The Flash , Real Housewives , and Grey's Anatomy . [2] [3] They also produced aftershow podcasts related to the same TV shows.

On each of AfterBuzz’s TV after-show, a mix of celebrities, personalities, and industry professionals break down that night's episode, take calls from fans, and interview guests. The network produces over 100 hours of content per week. They also produce "Spotlight On", an in-depth, long-form interview series with stars and showrunners.

As of July 10, 2020, the network announced a hiatus of further podcasts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [4] There has been no announcement on its website or social media about when or if podcasts will resume.

History

Producer Keven Undergaro and Maria Menounos created the AfterBuzz TV network to discuss their favorite show, AMC's Breaking Bad , and create a space for fans to interact. [5] In November 2013, AfterBuzzTV celebrated its 5,000th episode milestone. [6] The network was one of the first adopters to provide their content directly on SoundCloud.[ citation needed ] It produced over 150 hours of content per week. [7] Their Big Brother podcast was the No. 1 rated podcast on iTunes for that series. [8] Their roster of hosts included over 400 people. [9]

Buzz Out Loud, "CNET's podcast of indeterminate length," or BOL, as it is affectionately titled by its fans, was a podcast about technology produced by CNET. The podcast was released daily on weekdays for the majority of its run, and weekly on Thursdays near its end. At its inception, the show was hosted by Tom Merritt and Molly Wood. An aftershow or after-show is a genre of television talk show whose topic is another television program. An aftershow is typically broadcast immediately after a new episode of its corresponding program, to help retain the audience, and to provide additional discussion and content related to the program. Aftershows may also include guest appearances by a show's staff or cast, and emphasize viewer contributions. A similar, earlier concept in sports broadcasting is the post-game show.

Chasing Maria Menounos is an American reality television series that debuted March 18, 2014, on Oxygen. The show follows the lives of Maria Menounos and long-time boyfriend Keven, who have been living together unmarried for over 15 years with Maria's parents, Costas and Litsa, and Keven's lifetime best friend from Boston, Joe Gear. The show chronicles Menounos's career in the entertainment industry and family matters. These include living with traditional Greek immigrant parents that insist she marry and have children, and working her jobs such as managing an online broadcast network, AfterBuzz TV, with boyfriend Keven.

Somebody's Gotta Do It is a program that originally aired on CNN and later aired on TBN with host Mike Rowe. The show premiered on October 8, 2014. On May 13, 2016, Mike Rowe announced on his website MikeRowe.com that he and CNN had agreed to end production of the show after three seasons. A fourth season was picked by the TBN.
