Shamshuddin Ibrahim, known professionally as Shaam, is an Indian actor and model who mainly appears Tamil and Telugu-language films. Starting his career as a professional model, he soon made his acting debut in the film 12B (2001). He further appeared in lead roles in critically successful films such as Lesa Lesa (2003), Iyarkai (2003), and Ullam Ketkumae (2005), which was also successful commercially. He garnered acclaim for his role in Kick (2009), which earned him the name Kick Shaam. Kick enabled Shaam to star in other successful films such as Race Gurram (2014). After a hiatus, he returned to Tamil cinema with 6 (2013) and Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai (2015), both of which released to positive reviews.
Amar B. Choudary, known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian film actor and producer, who works mainly in Tamil cinema, as well as few films in Malayalam. He is the youngest son of film producer R. B. Choudary. He began his career as a child actor in 1991 in films produced by his father. He made his debut as a lead actor in his father's 50th production, Aasai Aasaiyai (2003). After Sivaji Ganesan, Jiiva is the only Tamil actor to have been awarded at the Cyprus International Film Festival for his performance in the film Raam (2005).
12B is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed and written by cinematographer Jeeva in his directional debut. The film featured Shaam in his debut along with Simran and Jyothika in the lead roles. Vivek, Sunil Shetty, Moonmoon Sen and Shanti Williams, and play other important roles in the film which had music composed by Harris Jayaraj. The film released in September 2001 to positive reviews. The plot of the movie is loosely based on the 1998 British-American romantic drama film Sliding Doors.

Kadhalukku Mariyadhai is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic drama film directed by Fazil. It is a remake of Fazil's own Malayalam film Aniathipravu (1997). The film stars Vijay and Shalini in the lead roles portrayed by Kunchacko Boban and Shalini herself in the original, with Sivakumar, Srividya, Manivannan, Charle, and Radha Ravi playing supporting roles. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja with cinematography by Anandakuttan.
Unnale Unnale is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language romantic musical film. It was later dubbed into the Telugu language as Neevalle Neevalle. Directed and co-written by Jeeva and produced by Oscar Ravichandran, it stars Vinay, Sadha and Tanisha Mukherjee in lead roles; Srinath, Raju Sundaram and Sathish Krishnan in supporting roles; and Lekha Washington, Aravind Akash, Uma Padmanabhan, and Vasundhara Kashyap in cameo roles. Raju Sundaram also worked as a choreographer in the film.
Ram is an Indian film director, who works in Tamil cinema. After assisting Hindi directors Rajkumar Santoshi and working under Balu Mahendra, he made his directorial debut with Kattradhu Thamizh (2007), which fetched him strong critical acclaim. Arya has also worked as a producer and distributor through the production studio August Cinema where he has worked with Prithviraj, Shaji Nadesan and Santosh Sivan on Malayalam language films.

Gnanavel Raja under his production studio banner Studio Green. This film had positive reviews from critics and general audience.
