Early life

Ahilya was born in Mumbai. Growing up in Auroville, Ahilya was exposed to a diverse blend of cultures and languages. She attended a French-medium school, becoming fluent in French, English, Bengali, and Hindi. This multilingual upbringing fostered her fascination with accents and dialects, elements that would later become central to her digital content. [2] [3] She is a social media content creator known for her ability to mimic various accents, her passion for singing and playing the guitar, and her talent for performing songs. [4]

Career

Ahilya Bamroo began her journey as a digital creator by sharing short-form videos and reels on Instagram, where she showcased her talent for mimicking various accents and her musical abilities. Her content, often infused with humor and cultural observations, resonated with a wide audience, contributing to her growing presence on social media. Her engaging digital persona led to associations with brands such as Tira, Bumble, Koovs, Britannia, Tinder, Zomato. She has also partnered with AMINU Skincare, and Thaely, supporting sustainability-focused initiatives.

In 2024, Ahilya made her acting debut in Shoojit Sircar's film I Want to Talk [5] , portraying the role of Reya, the daughter of the protagonist played by Abhishek Bachchan. The film explores the life of Arjun, a man confronting his mortality and seeking to mend relationships. Ahilya's performance was well-received, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning acting career. [6] [7]

Principal photography took place in California. The trailer was launched on 5 November 2024.
