Ahmed Saleem is the Deputy Speaker of parliament of the Maldives (People's Majlis). he is also the 19th parliament member for Hoarafushi (Haa Alif Atoll) [1] [2]

However the number has been reduced to 80 as of 18th December 2023 since some former members of the ruling PPM-PNC coalition are appointed to the government's posts.

The Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia,also known as Majlis ash-Shura or Shura Council, is the formal advisory body of Saudi Arabia. It is a deliberative assembly that advises the King on issues that are important to Saudi Arabia. It has the power to propose laws to the King of Saudi Arabia and his cabinet to prove it and pass it. It has 150 members,all appointed by the king and chosen "from amongst scholars,those of knowledge,expertise and specialists". Since 2013,the Assembly has included 30 female members out of the total of 150 members,after a 20 percent minimum quota for women was imposed. The Consultative Assembly is headed by a Speaker. As of 2016,the Speaker was Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh,in line with a tradition that kept the post in that family. The Assembly is based in al-Yamamah Palace,Riyadh.
The People's Assembly is Syria's legislative authority. It has 250 members elected for a four-year term in 15 multi-seat constituencies. There are two main political fronts;the National Progressive Front and Popular Front for Change and Liberation. The 2012 elections,held on 7 May,resulted in a new parliament that,for the first time in four decades,was nominally based on a multi-party system. In 1938,Fares Al-Khoury became the first Christian to be elected Speaker. In 2016 Hadiya Khalaf Abbas,Ph.D.,representing Deir Ezzor since 2003,became the first woman elected to be the Speaker. In 2017,Hammouda Sabbagh became the first Syriac Orthodox Christian to have held the post.
The chairman of the Senate of Pakistan is the president-chair of the Senate of Pakistan. According to the Constitution of Pakistan,the chairman is a presiding official and the Senate must choose a chairman and deputy chairman for a time interval of three years.

Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali is a Pakistani politician who served as the Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly from 4 June 2013 to 2015. Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali served as the 9th Chief Minister of Balochistan from 13 August 1998 till 12 October 1999 when Army Chief General Pervaiz Mushraf over took the Government. He served two terms as Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan from March 2006 to March 2012. Jan Mohammad Jamali contested in the 2013 elections from PB25 and won on the seat of PML N,He again contested from PB14 and won on the seat of BAP. He is a well-known personality throughout Balochistan.
Senator Saleem H. Mandviwalla is a Pakistani politician who served as deputy chairman of the Senate of Pakistan from March 2018 to March 2021. He was previously the president of the Board of Investment and Minister of State for Investment of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,a position he held from October 2008 till May 2013. Prior to his appointment,he was the president of the Lasbela Chamber of Commerce &Industry in Lasbela,Balochistan. He was appointed Minister of Finance on 19 February 2013 till 7 June 2013. Saleem Mandviwalla was unanimously elected as chairperson for Senate's Standing Committee on Finance,Revenue,Economic Affairs,Statistics and Privatization. Saleem Mandviwalla elected Vice Chairman of Senate of Pakistan on March 12,2018,with 54 votes out of total 103 votes cast and defeated Usman Khan Kakar who secured only 44 votes. To be elected for the seat of Vice Chairman Senate,candidate had to secure at least 53 votes from the house of 104. On 1 August 2019,a no-confidence motion was presented by the government in the senate to remove him from the post of the Deputy Chairman of the Senate,but the motion failed. The government couldn't get enough required votes to remove him from the post.

Abdulla Shahid is a Maldivian politician who served as President of the 76th United Nations General Assembly between 2021 and 2022. Shahid is the first Maldivian politician to hold that post. He had served as Minister of Foreign Affairs,Maldives from 2018 to 2023.

Eva Abdulla is a Maldivian Politician who was the Deputy Speaker of the People's Majlis until resignation in 3rd of December 2023. She is a Member of Parliament. She previously worked at the World Health Organization,the UNFPA,and was the Manager for the now-defunct local newspaper Minivan Daily. She has served as a parliamentarian for three consecutive terms since 2009 for the Galolhu Uthuru constituency and was a longtime member of the Maldivian Democratic Party,up until she left the party in May 2023. She is now a member of The Democrats.
