Air Traffic Controller is an indie pop band that started in Boston, Massachusetts.

The lead singer, singer/songwriter Dave Munro, had previously served in the United States Navy as an air traffic controller, inspiring the name for the band. [1] While he was serving in the navy, he sent home demos from his music and later met singer/songwriter Casey Sullivan. [2]

Reception

The band was a 2015 Billboard Hot 100 Fest performer. [3] Additionally, they have over 15 million Spotify plays. They were selected as a Showcase Artist for SXSW 2016 and made the NPR Hot 100 List for SXSW. [4] They have also been featured a 'New Band of the Week' in The Guardian . [5] [6] They have also been featured in multiple Guardian and Boston Globe articles. [7] [1] [5] Their first album, The One, was nominated for MTV's "Best Breakout Artist" award in 2009. [8] Their song, "People Watching," is featured in EA SPORTS NHL 17. In 2016, they won the Independent Music Award in the categories of Best Indie/Alt. Rock Album (Black Box), Best Music Producer (Bleu, also on Black Box) and Best Indie/Alt. Rock song ("The House"). [9]

Continued Silence EP is the fifth EP by American rock band Imagine Dragons, released on February 14, 2012 by KIDinaKORNER and Interscope Records. It was recorded at Westlake Recording Studios. All songs were written by Imagine Dragons and produced by Alex Da Kid, with mixing by engineer Manny Marroquin and engineer Rich Costey. The EP was mastered by mastering engineer Joe LaPorta. All of the songs on Continued Silence were featured on the band's debut album Night Visions except for "My Fault" and "Round and Round", which were later included on deluxe editions of Night Visions. Previous purchases of songs from the EP counted towards Night Visions and decreased its price.

Magic Man was a two-piece American major label electronic rock band from Boston, formed in 2010 by Alex Caplow (vocals) and Sam Lee. The Grownup Noise is an American indie-folk rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, that was formed in 2005 by songwriter / guitarist Paul Hansen and bassist Adam Sankowski. Known for their songwriting and attempts to bridge the gap between Americana and indie music, their music has been difficult to define. The A.V. Club wrote in August 2009 that “The Grownup Noise’s best asset however, is the songwriting, with lines of love and the changing seasons coming out as gently and colorful as the music itself." People often ask about the meaning of the name. The band views "The Grownup Noise" as something to rebel against, like fear, complacency, the closing of your heart, the stress of money etc.
