He represented his nation Lithuania as part of the men's track pursuit team at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has also earned the men's road race title at the Lithuanian Championships in Ignalina, before turning himself into a certified pro road rider in late 2005. During his sporting career, Baranauskas raced for Agritubel–Loudun, Agritubel, and Roubaix–Lille Métropole pro cycling teams.

Arvydas Romas SabonisLithuanian pronunciation: ​[ˈaːrviːdaːs ˈsaːboːnʲɪs]; born December 19, 1964) is a Lithuanian retired professional basketball player and businessman. Recognized as one of the best European players of all time, he won the Euroscar six times, and the Mr. Europa Award twice. He played in a variety of leagues, and spent seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), in the United States. Playing the center position, Sabonis won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics, in South Korea, for the Soviet Union, and later earned bronze medals at the 1992 Olympic Games and 1996 Olympic Games, while representing Lithuania. He retired from professional basketball in 2005. Lithuania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 19 times since its debut in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas finished last, receiving nul points. Lithuania withdrew from the contest, not returning until 1999. LT United's sixth place in 2006 with the song "We Are the Winners" is Lithuania's best result in the contest. The country reached the top ten for a second time in 2016, when Donny Montell finished ninth with "I've Been Waiting for This Night".

Rimas Kurtinaitis is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach, and a retired professional basketball player, who was a member of the senior Soviet and Lithuanian national basketball teams during his playing career. He is currently the head coach for Lietuvos rytas of the Lithuanian LKL league. At a height of 1.96 m (6'5") tall, during his playing career, he played at the shooting guard position.
