Alaska City FC is a semi-professional soccer club based in Palmer, Alaska. The club began playing in the Last Frontier Division of the United Premier Soccer League in 2019.

History

The club was founded in 2011. On June 5, 2018 it was announced the team would join the semi-professional UPSL, becoming the first Alaskan soccer club to play at the fifth-tier of soccer or above. [1] The team made its league debut on June 7, 2019 in a scoreless draw against Arctic Rush. [2]

Stadium

For the 2019 season, it was announced that the club would play its home matches at Machetanz Field in Palmer, Alaska.

The USL Championship (USLC), is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is an American professional development soccer league that was founded in Santa Ana in Southern California, with teams in regionalized conferences throughout the United States. The league was founded in 2011 by Santa Ana Winds FC club owner Leonel López as a regional league for teams in Greater Los Angeles, but expanded to include teams from 32 states as of the 2019 UPSL season.

California United Strikers FC is an American professional soccer club based in Orange County, California.

Soccer has enjoyed longstanding popularity in Los Angeles. As of 2019 there are two professional soccer clubs in Los Angeles County that play in Major League Soccer: LA Galaxy and Los Angeles FC. The Los Angeles area is also home to two Division 2 professional teams in the United Soccer League: Orange County SC and LA Galaxy II, the reserve side of LA Galaxy, and many semi-professional clubs and leagues including the United Premier Soccer League, SoCal Premier League and National Premier Soccer League, among others. Dekalb County United is a semi-professional men's soccer club based out of DeKalb, Illinois. The team currently competes in the Midwest Premier League, and plays home games at the NIU Soccer and Track & Field Complex.

Maryland Bobcats FC, formerly World Class Premier (WCP), are an American soccer team and academy based in Rockville, Maryland, which was founded in 2016. At senior men's level, WCP currently has two representative teams. The first, named World Class Premier, competes in the Maryland Major Soccer League and plays its home games at Banner Field in Baltimore, Maryland. A second team, called World Class Premier Elite, plies its trade in the Northeast Conference - Beltway - Division I of the United Premier Soccer League. The Elite side plays its home games at Montgomery Blair High School's football stadium, in Silver Spring, Maryland.
