Albana Osmani (born 17 August 1980) is an Albanian TV presenter, philanthropist and television personality known for her appearance on Top Channel.

Biography

Osmani was born in Tropojë and moved aged 13 to Tirana, where she went to high school. [1] [2] [3] Later she hosted the Albanians Got Talent show, which made her popular in Albania. [4] [5] [2]

The judges were Altin Basha, Rovena Dilo and Armend Rexhepagiqi. The winners of the first season were Fiqiri Luli and Sabrina Troushku. It was primarily catered towards Albanians from Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia.

The first season of Albanians Got Talent, started on October 15, in Top Channel. The season was hosted by Albana Osmani, famous Albanian-Presenter from Albania, and Benet Kaci former presenter in RTK from Kosovo. The judges of the show were Altin Basha, Rovena Dilo and Armend Rexhepagiqi.

Elvana Gjata, also known mononymously as Elvana, is an Albanian singer, songwriter and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Tirana, she has been referred to as the "Diva of Albanian music" and is noted for her versatility in music, performance and presentation. She rose to recognition in Albania and other Albanian-speaking territories in the Balkans following the release of her two studio albums, Mamës (2007) and Afër dhe larg (2011). The singer saw further success through many acclaimed singles, as well as her extended plays 3 (2018) and Çelu (2021), and has achieved fifteen number one singles in the Albanian singles chart. Gjata has also received numerous awards and accolades, including two Balkan Music Awards, a Festivali i Këngës Award, four Kënga Magjike Awards and a Top Fest Award.

Arbana Osmani is an Albanian television presenter and radio personality, best known for presenting Big Brother Albania and Dua të të bëj të lumtur.

Big Brother Albania 7 was the seventh season of the Albanian series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. It was based upon the Dutch series of the same name, which gained popularity in 1999 and 2000. It started on February 21, 2014, on Top Channel and ended after ninety-nine days on May 30, 2014. The main host was Arbana Osmani, who returned for the seventh season in a row. The live eviction show this year moved to Fridays at 21:00 CET, while the Daily Recap show aired every day of the week in different schedules, also including a weekly recap on Sundays. Ledion Liço was rumored to be the host of the spin-off show Big Brother Albania Fans' Club thus replacing Albana Osmani, but however in last minute changes, Albana Osmani returned for the third season in a row. The Fans' Club show featured dialogues with eliminated contestants and fans of the show. Liço started hosting a new spin-off series that started airing during the season, called Jashtë Bigut, which was part of the Sunday marathon of E Diell on the same network. Armand Peza took over for the second time, the role of the panelist. Peza had also been a panelist on only the first season of Big Brother Albania.

Big Brother Albania 8 was the eighth season of the Albanian television series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. The premiere for this season was 7 March 2015. The main topic of this season is the host Arbana Osmani will not return for another season due to pregnancy. The main host will be Ledion Liço, while Albana Osmani hosted the Sunday morning show, featuring dialogues with eliminated contestants and fans of the show. The show ran for 99 days and the winner was Vesel Kurtishaj. He received a €100,000 prize.

Big Brother Albania 9, also known as Big Brother - Love Edition, was the ninth season of the Albanian television series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. It started on March 18, 2017 and ended on June 24, 2017 on Top Channel. The show ran for 99 days. The winner received 15,000,000 Leks (€100,000) and for the first time in the Big Brother Albania history the winner would be a couple. The winner couple was Danjel Dedndreaj & Fotini Derxho. The main host is again Arbana Osmani who returned for the eighth time, after taking the previous season off due to pregnancy.

The elections successfully concluded after three rounds, with Vjosa Osmani winning 71 votes out of a total possible 120. Three political parties boycotted the vote. Nasuf Bejta, also a member of Guxo, the political party Osmani founded, was the only other candidate who received a vote during any of the other rounds.

The show follows a number of celebrity contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built house. Each week, one of the housemates is evicted by a public vote, with the last housemate remaining winning a cash prize of €100,000. Ballet dancer Ilir Shaqiri was announced as the first winner of Big Brother VIP in the show's final episode on 18 February 2022.
