Written by Stefani and Linda Perry, the song is the album's opening track and was released as Stefani's debut solo single. "What You Waiting For?" details Stefani's lack of inspiration, fear of producing the album, as well as her reaction to pressures exerted by her record label. It is primarily an electropop song and introduces Stefani's four back-up dancers, the Harajuku Girls, who had a major input into the album's production.

It is best known as San Marino's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 held in Malmö, Sweden. The song competed in the second semi-final on 16 May 2013 for a spot in the final on 18 May 2013, however it failed to qualify. It finished in 11th place with 47 points, which, at the time, was San Marino's best result in the competition before they qualified for the final in 2014
"I'll Be Missing You" is a song recorded by American rapper Puff Daddy and singer Faith Evans, featuring R&B group 112, in memory of fellow Bad Boy Records artist Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, who was murdered on March 9, 1997. Released as the second single from Puff Daddy and the Family's No Way Out album, "I'll Be Missing You" samples the Police's 1983 hit song "Every Breath You Take", with an interpolated chorus sung by Evans and interpolated rhythm. The track also features a spoken intro over a choral version of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings".
