Albino Bol Dhieu is a South Sudanese politician and the incumbent Minister of Youth and Sports in South Sudan since 12 March 2020. [1] He is a member of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement.
Albino Bol was born in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State in a village called Ariek Riak about 5 kilometers east of Aweil town to Mr. Dhieu Bol Man and Mrs. Aluel Akol Malual.[ citation needed ]
He started his education in 1993 at Aweil El-Medina Primary school up to 1997 before he left for Khartoum while already in primary four. In 1998 he then went to Abubaker Sidiq Primary School for boys in Jabra City south of Sudanese Capital Khartoum where he finished his primary school in 2001. In 2002 he joined Khartoum El-Jadida Modern Secondary School for boys to 2006 and completed Sudan School Certificate.[ citation needed ]
In 2007, Albino was then admitted to the University of Juba School of Medicine and graduated in 2014 with bachelor of surgery and medicine.[ citation needed ]
During his school time Albino Bol was SPLM students league activist where he participated and spearheaded so many youth forums and engagements.[ citation needed ]
In 207 he was first elected as the spokesperson of University of Juba college association, a position he held up to 2008. Then from 2009 to 2010 he was elected to Juba University Students Union as Spokesperson and Secretary of Information. [2]
After graduating in 2014 he continued with his rallies till he became the first elected President of the Youth Union during the first convention of South Sudan National Union and event conducted at the Freedom Hall in Juba on 27 March 2015 up to March 2019 march spending four years in office. [3]
In March 2019 Albino Bol was then appointed as the National Minister of Youth and Sports up to date. [4]
Albino Bol Dhieu issued a suspension letter to Gola Boyoi Gola, Chairperson of South Sudan National Youth Union, after social media circulated two letters allegedly written to the president of Egypt and the Deputy President of the Sudan Sovereign Council. [5]
Salva Kiir Mayardit, commonly known as Salva Kiir, is a South Sudanese politician who has been the President of South Sudan since its independence on 9 July 2011. Prior to independence, he was the President of the Government of Southern Sudan, as well as First Vice President of Sudan, from 2005 to 2011. He was named Commander-in-Chief of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) in 2005, following the death of John Garang.
The South Sudan People's Defence Forces (SSPDF), formerly the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), is the military force of the Republic of South Sudan. The SPLA was founded as a guerrilla movement against the government of Sudan in 1983 and was a key participant of the Second Sudanese Civil War, led by John Garang. After Garang's death in 2005, Salva Kiir was named the SPLA's new Commander-in-Chief. As of 2010, the SPLA was divided into divisions of 10,000–14,000 soldiers.

The mass media in South Sudan is underdeveloped compared to many other countries, including fellow East African states like Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Paul Malong Awan, also known as Paul Malong Awan Anei, King Paul, and General Paul, is a South Sudanese politician and military figure. Until 16 May 2017 he was the Chief of General Staffs (COGS) of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA). The Chief of General Staffs was the highest-ranking military officer in the SPLA, and also the principal military adviser to the President of the Republic of South Sudan and the National Security Council.
Samuel Aru Bol was a prominent politician in Southern Sudan. During the Second Sudanese Civil War (1983-2005) he signed the Khartoum Peace Agreement of 1997 as representative for the Union of Sudan African Parties (USAP).
Elijah Malok Aleng was a South Sudanese public servant, general, and politician, from [Twic Dinka/Twi East county] in Jonglei State. He was born on 28 November 1937 at Thianwong village when his family was living among the Pen people in Angakuei in Baidit, about 20 miles northeast of Bor town. His family, which is originally from Awulian in Wangulei, Twic East County, migrated back to be with fellow Awulian kinfolks. He attended Malek Primary School (1950–1953), and then Juba Intermediate School and Juba Commercial Senior Secondary School, graduating He then attended Free University of the Congo, in the present Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and later got a scholarship to study in Fribourg Catholic University, Switzerland, from which he obtained a master's degree in economics in 1972. In 1975 he obtained another Masters in Development Studies and Economic Planning from Wolfson College, Cambridge in the United Kingdom. In his memoirs: the Southern Sudan: Struggle for Liberty, named Chief Deng Biar Abit, leader of the Awulian clan, Paul Logali, former finance minister of Southern Sudan regional government and Akec Kwai Biar, former Bor District Commissioner and his cousin as the people who positively influenced him.

Wau State was a state in South Sudan that existed between 2 October 2015 and 22 February 2020. It was located in the Bahr el Ghazal region, and was part of the former state of Western Bahr el Ghazal. Wau State bordered Aweil State, Gbudwe State, Gogrial State, Lol State, and Tonj State.

Elias Waya Nyipuoch is a South Sudanese was born in 1958 in Luo land, Bahr el-Gazal Region, he holds a Master's Degree in Military Strategy from Khartoum High Academy Military Sciences (1992) in Sudan. He obtained his Sudan School Certificate in 1977 and joined University of Cairo, Khartoum Branch, between 1977 and 1979. Also he joined Sudan Military College and was awarded Diploma in Military Science in 1981. He took many professional military courses in the Sudan, the United Kingdom (2007), the USA (2004) and in Switzerland (2005), among others. He is currently an enrolled student of Political Science in University of Juba. Lt. Gen. Elias Waya had enjoyed many successful assignments in the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) after his graduation from Sudan Military College. He was deployed between1981 to 1985 to Eastern Command, Kassala and Gadaraf, from where he was shortly assigned to Kapoeta Garrison in 1983. Also he was deployed to Northern Command, 3rd Division in Shendi where he was transferred to Nasir Garrison Command between 1986 and 1989.
Mathiang Anyoor, also spelled Mathiang Anyur, also known as Dot Ke Beny, is a Dinka-affiliated militia group in South Sudan. Originally an ad-hoc volunteer force founded in 2012, the militia was transformed into a private army to protect President Salva Kiir Mayardit and army chief Paul Malong Awan. However, the South Sudanese military (SPLA) claims that it is just another battalion. Much of the ethnic violence against non-Dinkas in the South Sudanese Civil War is attributed to the militia.
Victoria Yar Arol was a Sudanese politician. The first woman from Southern Sudan to study at the University of Khartoum she was later a politician with seats on the regional assembly for Bahr el Ghazal Province and the National Peoples Assembly of Sudan.
