Albury is a major regional city that is located in the Murray region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the twin city of Albury-Wodonga and is located on the Hume Highway and the northern side of the Murray River. Albury is the seat of local government for the council area which also bears the city's name – the City of Albury. It is on the Victoria–New South Wales border.
Wodonga is a city on the Victorian side of the border with New South Wales, 324 kilometres (201 mi) north-east of Melbourne, Australia. It is part of the twin city of Albury-Wodonga and is located wholly within the boundaries of the City of Wodonga LGA and is separated from its twin city in New South Wales, Albury, by the Murray River. As of 2021 Wodonga and its suburbs have a population of 38,949 and combined with Albury, the two cities form the urban area Albury-Wodonga with a population of 97,793. There are multiple suburbs of Wodonga including Bandiana, Baranduda, Barnawartha, Bonegilla, Ebden, Huon Creek, Killara, Leneva and Staghorn.

The cartoonist Ken Maynard, loving empty spaces and having nothing around him, enjoyed an area just outside Albury at Table Top, New South Wales, named Ettamogah, thus christening the eponymous name of his now famous pub the "Ettamogah Pub". The "Ettamogah Pub" chain of such pubs now exist in various parts of Australia including Sydney in New South Wales, and Cunderdin in Western Australia.

Murray Art Museum Albury is a contemporary art museum located in Albury, Australia. Formerly known as the Albury Regional Art Gallery it was renamed as part of a $10.5 million refurbishment which included renovations to the former gallery building, the neighbouring Burrows House and the extensions linking and extending both buildings into QEII Square. The internal size of the museum expanded from 832m² to 2036m², with an Atrium on the ground floor leading to 7 gallery spaces over two levels. The building was designed by architect firm NBRS and Partners.
Albury Post Office is a heritage-listed post office at 570 Dean Street, Albury, in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by NSW Colonial Architects Office under James Barnet and built in 1880. The property is owned by Australia Post. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 17 December 1999. On 8 November 2011 the building was listed on the Commonwealth Heritage List; and is listed on the Register of the National Estate since 21 March 1978.
