The Aldie Senators were a collegiate summer baseball team based out of Aldie, Virginia. They competed in the Northern Division of the Valley Baseball League and played their home games at John Champe High School. The team dropped out of the league after the 2015 season. [1]
Aldie is an unincorporated community located between Chantilly and Middleburg in Loudoun County, Virginia. Aldie's historic heart is the Village of Aldie that is located on the John Mosby Highway in a gap between the Catoctin Mountains and Bull Run Mountains, through which the Little River flows. Aldie traditionally serves as the gateway to Loudoun Valley and beyond.
The Valley Baseball League is an NCAA and MLB-sanctioned collegiate summer baseball league in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. Each Valley Baseball League season consists of 42 games played during summer, beginning the Friday after Memorial Day and continuing into late July. Playoffs immediately follow and culminate in early August.
John Champe High School is a public secondary school in Aldie, an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. The school was established in 2012. It is named after the revolutionary war hero John Champe who led an unsuccessful attempt to kidnap traitor Benedict Arnold. The campus is just south of U.S. Route 50 and 30 miles west of Washington, D.C.. It is part of Loudoun County Public Schools and is on 41535 Sacred Mountain Street.
The team's uniform colors are navy blue and red. The Haymarket Senators originally joined the Valley Baseball League in the winter of 2005. They replaced the Haymarket Battlecats. The Haymarket Senators moved to the neighboring community of Aldie after the completion of the 2012 season.
On August 12, 2009, the Senators won their first Valley League Baseball Championship, beating the Covington Lumberjacks 6-1.
On July 7, 2009, Scott Krieger, a player from George Mason University who played for the Senators in 2008, was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 19th round of the MLB Draft.

The Milwaukee Brewers are an American professional baseball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Brewers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) Central division. The team is named for the city's association with the brewing industry. Since 2001, the Brewers have played their home games at Miller Park, which has a seating capacity of 41,900.
