The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) is a Conservative Jewish education organization in New York City, New York. It is one of the academic and spiritual centers of Conservative Judaism and a center for academic scholarship in Jewish studies. The Jewish Theological Seminary Library is one of the most significant collections of Judaica in the world.
Rabbi Marshall T. Meyer was an American Conservative rabbi who became a recognized international human rights activist while living and working in Argentina from 1958 to 1984, during the period of the "Dirty War" in the 1970s. He was elected by president Raúl Alfonsín to be one of the members of the National Commission on the Disappearance of Persons. After the restoration of democracy in 1983, Meyer was awarded the nation's highest honor, the Order of the Liberator General San Martín, by the new president.

The World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ) is the international umbrella organization for the various branches of Reform, Liberal and Progressive Judaism, as well as the separate Reconstructionist Judaism. The WUPJ is based in 40 countries with 1,275 affiliated synagogues, of which 1,170 are Reform, Progressive, or Liberal and 105 Reconstructionist. It claims to represent a total of some 1.8 million people, both registered constituents and non-member identifiers. The WUPJ states that it aims to create common ground between its constituents and to promote Progressive Judaism in places where individuals and groups are seeking authentic, yet modern ways of expressing themselves as Jews. Yosef Kleiner or Iosef Kleiner is an Israeli rabbi, psychologist, actor and intellectual born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on December 20, 1963. Between 1994 and 2014 he was the rabbi of the Comunidad Israelita Sefaradí, in Chile; Congregation Adat Shalom Emanuel in Rehovot, Israel and the Union Libérale Israélite de France (ULIF) in Paris. He is at present the rabbi of Congregation Moreshet Avraham in Jerusalem.

She became the first female Latin American rabbi when she was ordained in Jerusalem at the Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano in 1994. In 2003, she and her husband, Rabbi Mario Karpuj, founded Congregation Or Hadash in Sandy Springs, Georgia. In 2023 Rabbi Dr. Bortz became the Founding co-Director at the Center for Ethics at the Vatican and the University Abarvanel- Seminario Rabinico LatinoAmericano.
