Alejandro Zamudio Galindo (born 25 February 1998) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Pumas Tabasco on loan from UNAM.
Mexican player who has been developed throughout the different categories of Pumas Youth Academy, having gone through all stages since 2011. Throughout his development process, he has been an active participant in the National Sub-15, Sub-17, and Sub-21 Teams, consolidating his presence in various highly relevant international tournaments.
Finally, he made his debut in the Liga MX as a substitute in the match between Pumas UNAM and Toluca FC, corresponding to match day 13 of the Clausura 2017, in the Estadio Olímpico Universitario, under the direction of Francisco Palencia. This moment marked the beginning of his career in the highest category of Mexican football.
After Francisco Palencia's departure, Zamudio had as head coach Sergio Egea and David Patiño, where he participated in the Liga MX. During his time at the Pumas UNAM, he had the privilege of sharing the dressing room with authentic legends of Club Universidad Nacional, such as Dario Verón and Pablo Barrera.
After his loan at Club Puebla in 2019, he returned to the university club. Under the direction of Míchel González, the player was considered to be part of the first team, allowing him to participate in the top-tier football circuit.
During the Clausura 2019 Tournament, Zamudio was loaned to Club Puebla. During that period, the legendary Enrique "Ojitos" Meza took on the role of head coach, while Juan Reynoso served as his assistant coach.
During his stay, Zamudio had the opportunity to play with the first team in the Copa MX. After Enrique Meza's departure, José Luis Sánchez Solá, known as "Chelís," took over as head coach. At the end of the Clausura 2019 Tournament, Zamudio returned to Club Universidad Nacional (Pumas UNAM).
Throughout his career, Zamudio has been called up to various categories of the Mexican National Team, participating in various international tournaments. He has represented Mexico in the U-15, U-17, and U-21 categories.
He stood out in his participation in the Concacaf Under-17 Pre-World Cup in 2015, under the direction of Mario Arteaga, where the national team was crowned champion.
In the final of the tournament, Mexico defeated the Honduran team with a score of 2-0 at the Olympic Stadium in San Pedro Sula.
In 2013, Zamudio secured a collaboration contract with Gatorade, with the aim of starring in a television commercial where we would see him playing football alongside other prominent promises of this sport worldwide.
