Alex Lu is the Global Head and General Manager for Rlg Communications. [1] Lu is based in Dubai and responsible for the global operations and business development for the company.

Prior to joining Rlg Communications, he was the Senior Director of BYD Electronic (BYD). [2] Lu led BYD to Dell, Kodak and Compal (HP) supply chains.

Lu, as head of Energy Storage Systems for BYD, signed a cooperation agreement with Eurosol to develop green energy industry. [3]

The lithium iron phosphate battery or LFP battery is a type of lithium-ion battery using lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material, and a graphitic carbon electrode with a metallic backing as the anode. Because of their lower cost, high safety, low toxicity, long cycle life and other factors, LFP batteries are finding a number of roles in vehicle use, utility-scale stationary applications, and backup power. LFP batteries are cobalt-free. As of September 2022, LFP type battery market share for EVs reached 31%, and of that, 68% was from Tesla and Chinese EV maker BYD production alone. Chinese manufacturers currently hold a near monopoly of LFP battery type production. The BYD e6 is an all-electric compact crossover/compact MPV manufactured by BYD from 2009. Field testing for the first generation model began in China in May 2010 with 40 units operating as taxis in the city of Shenzhen. Sales to the general public began in Shenzhen in October 2011, over two years behind schedule of the originally planned release date of 2009. A number of e6 units were operating in fleet service as taxis in China, Indonesia, Colombia, Belgium, the U.S., the Netherlands, and the U.K. Australia will be introducing the e6 taxi fleet in 2020. Since 2010 sales in China totaled 34,862 units through December 2016.
