Alexa Christine St. Martin (born May 27, 1992) is an American soccer player who played for SC Sand.

Early life and education

St. Martin was born in Westford, Massachusetts on May 27, 1992 in to Bill and Christine St. Martin. [1] [2] She has two brothers. [2]

At age 13, she participated in a summer camp run by the United States Youth Soccer Association. [1]

St. Martin graduated from Westford Academy, then received a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, where she majored in English and minored in journalism. [1]

Soccer career

College

St. Martin was recruited to play as a midfielder at Georgetown University. [1] She held the position for her freshman and junior seasons, then switched to center back in her junior year. [1]

In 2011, she was named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star, and in 2012, she was twice selected as the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. [2]

Professional

St. Martin trained to play for the Washington Spirit, though she didn't receive a contract offer. [1] In 2014, she joined the Herforder SV Borussia Friedenstal in Herford, Germany. [1] [3] The following year, she signed with SC Sand in Willstätt, Germany. [4]

The 1983–84 Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team represented Georgetown University in the 1983–84 NCAA Division I college basketball season. John Thompson coached them in his 12th season as head coach. They played their home games at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland, except for one game played at McDonough Gymnasium on the Georgetown campus in Washington, D.C. The team was a member of the Big East Conference and finished the season with a record of 34–3 overall, 14–2 in Big East play. They won both the Big East regular-season championship, the 1984 Big East tournament championship, and they defeated Houston in the 1984 NCAA tournament final to win the only national championship in Georgetown history.
