Alexander Barybin (born in Oryol, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) [1] is a Ukrainian politician. He served as the acting Mayor of Melitopol from February 8, 2013, to June 7, 2013, as Secretary of the Melitopol City Council.
Barybin moved to Melitopol in 1954. In 1968, he graduated from secondary school No. 25, entered the MIMSKH (now TGATU), he received his degree in mechanical engineering. In 1973–74. worked in Gulyai-Pole repair plant. In 1974 he returned to Melitopol and worked on the station "South", first master, then the senior master and chief engineer, and. o. director. From 1981 he worked at the engine plant manager, deputy head of the assembly shop, head of guarantee-maintenance, factory director of STR. In 1998 he opened his own car repair shop. In April 2006, headed the commission on land relations and the environment. June 7, 2013 at a meeting of city council members changed Melitopol Secretary. Instead Barybina Alexander, head of the city and the city council was Andrew Chappa. Also, from the hands of the deputy governor of Zaporizhzhya region Yuri Pelykh Alexander Barybin received the Order "For Services to the edge of Zaporozhye» [2]
Melitopol is a city and municipality in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, southeastern Ukraine. Melitopol has been under Russian control since March 2022. On September 30, 2022, the city was formally annexed by the Russian Federation, however remains internationally recognized as sovereign territory of Ukraine. It is situated on the Molochna River, which flows through the eastern edge of the city into the Molochnyi Lyman estuary. Melitopol is the second-largest city in the oblast after Zaporizhzhia and serves as the administrative centre of Melitopol Raion.

Valery Pavlinovich Shantsev, born 29 June 1947 in Susanino, Kostroma Oblast, is the former governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast from 8 August 2005, when he replaced Gennady Khodyrev until his resignation on 26 September 2017. Wayne worked as an adviser for HSBC Latin America on improving management of financial crime risk from 2015 until 2019 and with the American Foreign Service Association from 2017 to 2019.
Alexander Dmitryevich Beglov is a Russian politician. He has the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation. He was appointed acting Governor of Saint Petersburg on 3 October 2018. In the 2019 Saint Petersburg gubernatorial election, Beglov won with 64.43% of the votes.
Oleksandr Pavlovych Liashko was a Ukrainian and Soviet politician. He was the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Ukrainian SSR for more than 15 years, making him the longest-serving person in that capacity. He joined the Communist Party in 1942 and served in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1961 to 1989. In 1985 Liashko received the honorary award, the Hero of Socialist Labour.
The Egyptian Halls is a category A listed building at 84–100 Union Street, Glasgow, Scotland. It was built between 1870–72 and designed by Alexander "Greek" Thomson. Other than some retailers on the ground floor, the building is currently unoccupied. Despite several attempts at restoration, it remains in a parlous state and was under threat of demolition in 2011. Planning approval and listed building consent has since been given for a scheme which has secured funding for conversion to a 114-bed four-star hotel. As of 20 February 2013, subsidy was still being sought for work to the ground floor.

Melitopol Museum of Local History is a museum in Melitopol, Ukraine. It exhibits objects relating to the history and nature of the region. The museum is located in the former Chernikov Mansion, built in 1913. As of 2022 its director was Leila Ibragimova.
Ivan Serhiyovych Fedorov is a Ukrainian politician who was elected the mayor of Melitopol in 2020. He was previously the first deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council and a member of the Melitopol City Council.
Galina Viktorovna Danilchenko is a Russian and Ukrainian accountant and politician who was installed by Russia as the acting mayor of Melitopol during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, following the kidnapping of Ivan Fedorov by the Russian military. She was a former member of the Melitopol City Council, elected in 2015, and became its secretary soon thereafter.
The Russian occupation of Zaporizhzhia Oblast is an ongoing military occupation which began on 24 February 2022, after Russian forces invaded Ukraine and began capturing the southern portion of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. On 26 February, the city of Berdiansk came under Russian control, followed by the Russian victory at Melitopol on 1 March. Russian forces also laid siege and captured the city of Enerhodar, home to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which came under Russian control on 4 March. The capital of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Zaporizhzhia, has not been taken by the Russian army and remains under Ukrainian control.
During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia occupied vast portions of the territory of Ukraine, having already occupied parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts as well as the entire Autonomous Republic of Crimea since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2014. Partisan groups began to be organized in mid-2022. These groups have been involved in intelligence-gathering, sabotage, and assassinations. Much of their activity has taken place in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
