Carmen Tănase Romanian actress

Carmen Tanase is a Romanian actress. After graduating The Drama and Film Institute from Bucharest, in 1984, she joined the company of "Vasile Alecsandri" National Theatre in Iaşi and then moved back to the capital city of Romania. Since 1990, she is a member of the Odeon Theatre company from Bucharest. As a student, she played in Dostoevsky's The Possessed, in John Steinbeck's Sweet Thursday, in Butterflies, Butterflies by the Italian playwright Aldo Nicolaj etc. Following the fall of the Romanian communist regime, in 1989, she also involved herself in the independent artistic movements that flourished after these events. She toured the world with Radu Duda, the two of them playing in A Report to an Academy, the adaptation of a short story by Franz Kafka, directed by Cristina Iovita.

Bill Vazan

Bill Vazan is a Canadian artist, born in Toronto, Ontario in 1933. He studied Fine Arts at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, and at the École des beaux-arts in Paris. In 1970 he graduated with a B.A. from Sir George Williams University, now Concordia University, in Montreal, Quebec. He currently lives and works in Montreal. Since 1982 he has taught at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Vazan is internationally known for his land art creations, sculpture, painting and photography. His work has been widely exhibited in North America and abroad. He was made a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.

Infinithéâtre is an anglophone theatre in Montreal. Located in the Mile End area of Montreal, most of their productions play at Le Bain St-Michel, a converted bath house. It was founded in 1988 by Marianne Ackerman and Clare Schapiro as "Théâtre 1774", and its name was changed to Infinithéâtre in 1997, when Artistic Director Guy Sprung took over. Known as an alternative English language theatre in Montreal, one-time referred to as the "risk theatre", they focus on developing and presenting new plays by Quebec writers. Under the belief that "Theatre is a collective experience that must be both an entertainment and a reflection of and on significant social and political issues". In this regard, they organize an annual playwriting contest entitled Write-On-Q. The prize is $5000 and an opportunity to have the play publicly read at Pipeline, Infinitheatre's reading series destined to allow the audience to contribute to the theatre's future programming.

Miruna Runcan is a Romanian-born writer, semiotician and theater critic. She received a PhD in Theater's Aesthetics from the Bucharest University of Theater and Film in 1999 on a complex historical and aesthetic research on the Romanian modern stage-directing and theater theories, from 1920 to 1960.

Ionuț Caragea is a Romanian writer living in Oradea, România. Romanian literary critics see him as one of the leaders of the 2000 poetic generation and one of the most atypical and original writers of today's Romania. He is also known in France, where he has been published several books translated or written directly into French, thus becoming a member of the Société des Poètes Français and a member of the Société des poètes et artistes de France. Academician Giovanni Dotoli, one of the leading personalities of Francophonie, analyzing the volume of poems "Mon amour abyssal", considers that Ionuț Caragea is a poet who honors Romania and European literature. Ionuț Caragea was twice awarded by the Society of French Poets, the oldest and most prestigious poetry society in France. "Mon amour abyssal" won the "François-Victor Hugo" award and "J'habite la maison aux fenêtres fermées" won the "Mompezat" award.
