Alexander Korobolin (born March 12, 1976) is a Russian former ice hockey defenceman.

Korobolin was drafted 100th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. [1] [2] He played with the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate the Hartford Wolf Pack during the 1999–00 AHL season where he featured in 22 regular season games and scored one goal. [3]

Korobolin also played in the Russian Superleague for HC Mechel, Avangard Omsk, Molot-Prikamye Perm, HC Sibir Novosibirsk.

The vast majority of his career, which lasted from 1989 to 2011, was spent in the Russian Super League and its successor, the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Internationally Vorobiev played for the Russian national team at the 1995 and 1996 World Championships. After his retirement Vorobiev has worked in coaching roles in the KHL, and currently is an assistant coach with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
