Ali Abdu Ahmed is a former Eritrean politician who left the government and sought asylum abroad. From 2002 until his defection in November 2012,Ali was the Eritrean Minister of Information. [1]
Ali Abdu Ahmed father (an Eritrean national),brother,and 15-year-old daughter Ciham Ali Abdu,a United States citizen,were subsequently detained and have been held indefinitely. The US government inquired regarding his daughter's well-being while the Eritrean government vehemently rejected her status as an US citizen and has refused to release information regarding her whereabouts or well being. The 21 August 2004 Dhaka grenade attack took place at an anti-terrorism rally organised by Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue on 21 August 2004. The attack left 24 dead and more than 500 injured. The attack was carried out at 5:22 pm after Sheikh Hasina,the leader of opposition had finished addressing a crowd of 20,000 people from the back of a truck. African immigration to Israel is the international movement to Israel from Africa of people that are not natives or do not possess Israeli citizenship in order to settle or reside there. This phenomenon began in the second half of the 2000s,when a large number of people from Africa entered Israel,mainly through the then-lightly fenced border between Israel and Egypt in the Sinai Peninsula. According to the data of the Israeli Interior Ministry,26,635 people arrived illegally in this way by July 2010,and over 55,000 by January 2012. In an attempt to curb the influx,Israel constructed the Egypt–Israel barrier. Since its completion in December 2013,the barrier has almost completely stopped the immigration of Africans into Israel across the Sinai border.
The 2015 IKEA stabbing attack occurred on 10 August when Abraham Ukbagabir fatally stabbed two people in an IKEA store in the Erikslund Shopping Center in Västerås,Sweden,as revenge for not being granted asylum in Sweden. The Nawabs of Dhanbari,also known as the Chowdhury family of Dhanbari,were a Bengali aristocratic family of feudal landowners.
