Ali Kanaan (born 12 December 1985 in Beirut, Lebanon) is a Lebanese Canadian basketball player currently playing for Byblos and the Lebanon national basketball team.
Born to Anis Kanaan and Amira El-Fares of Beirut, Lebanon, Kanaan immigrated to Canada. He played in Vanier College (Ville Saint Laurent, Quebec) and College Montmorency (Laval, Quebec). He played in the NCAA for 4 years with the University of Massachusetts Lowell. [1]

Ali played for the University of Massachusetts Lowell. [2] for four years, a Division II school who is in the Northeast 10 conference. He played his first year for them during the 2006–2007 season where he averaged 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds a game during his freshman season.[ citation needed ]
In 2010 after the 2010 FIBA World Championship and after graduating from college Ali became pro and he signed with Lebanese Riyadi in the Lebanese Basketball League due to A list Ali was loaned to Antranik SC in exchange of Charbel El Sokn.[ citation needed ]
Kanaan became a member of the Lebanon national basketball team, with whom he debuted with at the FIBA Asia Championship 2009. [3] At the tournament, he averaged 2.2 points and 3.2 rebounds for the fourth-placed Lebanese team.[ citation needed ]
Ronald Fred Seikaly is a Lebanese and American former professional basketball player. Seikaly was one of the first internationally born players to make an impact on American basketball. He was considered one of the top college players from the Syracuse basketball program, Seikaly's stellar offense and defense placed him among the school's all-time leaders in rebounds, points and blocks, while earning several nationally recognized awards and honors. His number 4 jersey was retired by Syracuse and raised to the rafters of the Carrier Dome. Drafted into the National Basketball Association (NBA) by the Miami Heat with the 9th pick of the 1988 draft and the first ever pick for the Heat, Seikaly developed into one of the best centers in the NBA and the team's top offensive and defensive contributors–winning NBA player of the week twice–and also amassing many of the team's records . Seikaly earned the 1990 NBA Most Improved Player Award and later played for the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and New Jersey Nets and in Spain with FC Barcelona. He was also part of the United States national basketball team during the 1986 FIBA World Championship, winning gold. After his retirement from basketball, Seikaly became a successful real estate developer. He also works in electronic music as a producer/DJ, and hosted a radio show, Sugar Free Radio, on Sirius/XM.
Loren Gerard Woods is an American former professional basketball player. He previously played six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Fadi El Khatib, nicknamed "the Lebanese Tiger", is a Lebanese professional basketball player for Sagesse SC of the Lebanese Basketball League. El Khatib played for several teams in the Lebanese Basketball League, and also played abroad in Syria, Ukraine and China. He was also a member of the Lebanon national team that finished runners-up in the FIBA Asia Championship three times, in 2001, 2005 and 2007. El Khatib also participated in the FIBA World Championship in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
Marcus Eugene Douthit is a Filipino-American former basketball player. He graduated from Providence College. After his stint with the Providence Friars, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2004 NBA draft. At 6'8", he was Lebanon's starting forward and played an important role on both the offensive and defensive sides.
