Ali Mohammad Dar is an Indian politician and a former Member of Legislative Council in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir he belongs to the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and serves as a senior leader there he contested elections from the Chadoora (Vidhan Sabha constituency) in 1996 and won, he again fought elections in 2002, 2008, 2014 but lost. Ali Muhammad Naik was a member of the Indian parliament. Naik was one of the many NC lawmakers who ditched Dr Farooq Abdullah and topped his government by allying with Ghulam Mohammad Shah. Shah made him the Revenue Minister. Post-1990, Naik and almost all others returned to NC, contested and were elected to the assembly. He served as speaker of the state assembly. He also served as Member of Parliament by defeating Mufti Mohammad Syed from Anantnag parliamentary constituency. He was a member of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference party. He survived a militant attack in 2006 near Tral bus stand. He died in 2017.

Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali is an Indian politician and former cabinet minister of Jammu and Kashmir. He is an Advocate by profession and was part of the 11th and 12th Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from Darhal constituency. He is a second-generation politician whose father Chowdhary Mohmmad Hussain was a renowned politician in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Zulfkar has also served as Cabinet Minister under the Chief Ministership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti 2015 to 2018. He was associated with Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party and served as district chief of the party for district Rajouri 2003 to 2013. He resigned from the PDP and became one of the founding member of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party. Presently Vice President of the party. Ali has been Honoured with Best Legislature 2012. As a Cabinet Minister, Ali headed various portfolios. Zulfkar also implemented the national food security act (NFSA) in the state and launched a food for poor scheme (MMSFES).

Abdul Rashid Dar was a lawyer and politician from the state of Jammu & Kashmir, who served as MLA, MLC and later as the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council.In his first election in 1987 Dar contested from the Shangus seat of Anantnag district, he won the election and was elected MLA as a member of the National Conference, representing the Shangus constituency of Anantanag .He served in the state assembly till the government was dismissed and the assembly was dissolved by Jagmohan the governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Later on in 1996 Dar was elected to the upper house the state Legislative council.

Mohammad Yasin Shah was an Indian politician and the former member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. A member of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, he started his political career from Hazratbal constituency in 1987 and later, represented Sonawar constituency in 1996 and subsequently served as political adviser to the then chief minister, Farooq Abdullah. Prior to his participation in assembly elections, he served as councillor of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

Ghulam Mustafa Mir was an Indian Politician and a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. He served twice as Member of the Legislative Assembly from Chadoora first in 1972 from the Indian National Congress and then in 1987 as an Independent Politician. Mir was abducted and assassinated by militants in March 1990.
