Ali Sharif Athman

Ali Sharif Athman is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya elected from Lamu East on the ticket of United Democratic Forum Party (UDF) and with support of Amani Coalition in 2013. [1]

Education and career

Ali Athman was born in Lamu and attended Kizingitini Primary School where he earned his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 1992 and earned his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) from Khamis High School in 1996. [2] He obtained a diploma in clearing and forwarding from the Pioneer Commercial College in 1998 and a certificate in management from Kenya Institute of Management in 2012 before attending California Miramar University to study an Associate of Science in Business Administration.

He was elected to the 11th Kenyan national assembly for Lamu East Constituency on the ticket of UDF and Amani Coalition. In the parliament, he was a member of the Departmental Committee on Lands and Natural Resources. In 2015, Wario proposed establishment of an affiliate college of International University of Africa in Lamu to address education needs of the county. [3] [4]

He lost his reelection bid in 2017 before reclaiming the seat in the 2022 parliamentary election.

Hassan Abdi Dukicha is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th parliament of Kenya elected from Galole Constituency on the ticket of United Democratic Forum (UDF) party with the support of Amani Coalition in 2013. He ran for the Tana River senate seat in 2022 but lost to the incumbent.

Abdulaziz Ali Farah is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th Kenyan parliament elected from Mandera East Constituency on the ticket of United Republican Party (URP) and with support of Jubilee Coalition in 2013. In the parliament, he served on the Environment & Natural Resources committee. Farah is a Murulle tribesman and received the endorsement of the council of elders of his clan for his first term but was unable to secure the endorsement for a second term in 2017 ending his parliamentary career. He graduated from Kenyatta University in 1995.

Abdullahi Jaldesa Banticha is a Kenyan politician and a member of the 11th Kenyan parliament elected from Isiolo South Constituency on the ticket of United Republican Party and with the support of Jubilee Coalition in 2013. He succeeded Abdul Ali of the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party. Banticha served on the house committee on Energy, Communication and Information. According to a report by Mzaledo Trust in 2016, Banticha spoke twice throughout the 11th parliament. He earned his bachelor's degree in education from Maseno University.
