Ali Al-Omair (born 1958) is a Kuwaiti politician. From January 2014 through November 2015, he served as Oil Minister in the cabinet of Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, succeeding Mustafa Jassem Al-Shamali. [1] [2] He was a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the third district. Born in 1958, Al-Omair obtained a PhD in chemistry and worked as a professor before being elected to the National Assembly in 2006. While political parties are technically illegal in Kuwait, Al-Omair affiliates with the Islamic Salafi Alliance party. [3]
In November 2007, the parliament voted 51-2 to approve a law requiring all Kuwaiti public and shareholding companies to pay Zakat every year. Al-Omair was one of the main proponents of the bill. [4]

Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah of the al-Sabah dynasty was the Emir of Kuwait and Commander of the military of Kuwait who served in the posts from 31 December 1977 until his death on 15 January 2006 due to cerebral hemorrhage. The third monarch to rule Kuwait since its independence from Britain, Jaber had previously served as minister of finance and economy from 1962 to 1965 when he was appointed prime minister prior to becoming Kuwait's ruler.

Faisal Al-Meslim Al-Osaimi Al-Otaibi is a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the third district. Born in 1962, Al-Meslim studied Political History at the University of Wales and worked as a professor before being elected to the National Assembly in 2003. Al-Otaibi is considered an Independent deputy and affiliates with the Islamist members. He is a member of the Al-Otaibi tribe. He has five sisters and two brothers. He was one of the most active people in the assembly and many of his proposals would help in the development of Kuwait.
Waleed Al-Tabatabaie was a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, who represented the third district. Born on 4 April 1964, Al-Tabtabaie obtained a PhD in Islamic studies from Al-Azhar and was an assistant professor at Kuwait University before being elected to the National Assembly in 1996. Al-Tabtabaie affiliated with the Islamist deputies.

Mustafa Jassem Al-Shamali is a Kuwaiti politician who has had held different cabinet posts. He served as Minister of Finance between 2007 and May 2012. He also served as oil minister from 4 August 2013 to January 2014.
Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah is a Kuwaiti diplomat and politician, who served in different governmental posts from 2006 until his appointment as the prime minister in 2019. In December 2020, he was reappointed as prime minister. He is a senior member of the ruling family of Kuwait, the Al Sabah family.
Anas Khalid Al Saleh is a Kuwaiti politician who has been serving as deputy prime minister since January 2015, and acting oil minister since November 2015. He also served as minister of finance from January 2014 to December 2017. He also served as minister of commerce and industry from February 2012 to January 2014.
The Ministry of Oil is one of the governmental bodies of Kuwait and part of the cabinet.
