All About Photo (AAP) is an international photography magazine and platform founded in 2013, known for its photography competitions. These include the annual All About Photos Awards - Mind's Eye,[1] as well as monthly competitions.[2] The platform also includes a printed magazine series AAP Magazine which focuses on contemporary photography from around the world, featuring work from a wide range of international photographers, including those from underrepresented regions.[3] In addition, the website described by curator Ann Jastrab as "an encyclopedic website devoted to promoting photographic resources such as galleries, exhibitions, museums, schools and institutes, and many other contacts useful to photographers."[4]
All About Photo was launched in February 2013 by photographer Sandrine Hermand-Grisel and her husband, Fabien Hermand.[5] It is an independent online photography platform dedicated to showcasing portfolios, competitions, interviews, articles, exhibitions, and other photography-related content.[6]
Competitions and Awards
The online magazine revolves around a series themed international competitions including its centerpiece the annual All About Photo Awards competition, subtitled The Mind's Eye.[7] This contest has produced many notable winners including Pulitzer Prize winner Marcus Yam in 2022.[8] This contest is open to all photography genres and subject matter and is accompanied by a special edition of AAP Magazine.

Monthly Themed Competitions
AAP Magazine organizes monthly themed photography competitions throughout the year. Each competition is open to professional and amateur photographers worldwide, with submissions judged by panels of industry professionals, with each contest accompanied by an AAP printed Magazine. Winners have included photographers such as Ami Vitale,[13]Michael Joseph,[14] and Jan Grarup.[15]

AAP Print Magazine
AAP Magazine began their first printed edition in 2018 with the theme of "Light".[23] Currently the printed edition is published monthly with each issue focused on a specific theme.[24] The magazine typically features approximately 25 photographers selected from international submissions, with each issue containing around 100 pages and 100+ photographs.[25]
Platform Features
The All About Photo website also operates as a directory of photography resources. It includes listings for photographer portfolios, equipment rental and photo lab services, camera repair shops, and photography schools and educational programs.[4][26][27] The platform additionally provides information on agencies, museums, galleries, cultural institutions, contests, portfolio reviews, exhibitions, fairs, and photography festivals.[26] It also features interviews, news articles, and coverage related to contemporary photography.[26]
