All In Magazine is an American print magazine and website focusing on poker, fantasy sports, and eSports (competitive videogaming). The magazine was founded as the "poker boom" was taking off in 2004 and centered primarily on poker until 2013. [1]

History

The original print edition of All In launched at the 2004 World Series of Poker, one year after amateur Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker Main Event and moved poker into the mainstream. The magazine settled into its acclaimed editorial style in 2005, after Eric Raskin was hired as editor-in-chief and Will Tims was hired as art director. [2] Starting with the February 2015 issue.

Events

ALL IN Super Bowl Party

In 2014, at Manhattan's Canoe Studios, All In worked with Heineken and Esquire to put on the Esquire Magazine/ALL IN/Heineken 2014 Super Bowl Celebration Charity Poker Party in New York City (the recipient of the evening's fundraising and the administrative entity was Career Gear, a 501 c3 organization). [3]

In 2015, the three-day event in Scottsdale, Arizona, was put together to gain exposure, and raise money for All In Cause with numerous celebrity personalities in attendance. [4] [5]

All In awards an annual Poker Player of the Year honor based on a poll of poker professionals.

Poker Hall of Fame Hall of Fame of professional poker

The Poker Hall of Fame is the hall of fame of professional poker in the United States. Founded in Las Vegas, it was created in 1979 by Benny Binion, the owner of the Horseshoe Casino, to preserve the names and legacies of the world's greatest poker players and to serve as a tourist attraction to his casino. Binion was known for the creative ways in which he marketed his casino. In 1949, he convinced Johnny Moss and Nick "The Greek" Dandolos to play high-stakes poker heads up where the public could watch them. In 1970, he invited a group of poker players to compete in what would be the first World Series of Poker (WSOP). When Harrah's Entertainment, now known as Caesars Entertainment, acquired the rights to the WSOP in 2004, it also assumed ownership of the Poker Hall of Fame. Currently, membership in the Poker Hall of Fame is handled directly by the WSOP.

Phil Ivey American poker player

Phillip Dennis Ivey Jr. is an American professional poker player who has won ten World Series of Poker bracelets, one World Poker Tour title, and appeared at nine World Poker Tour final tables. Ivey was at one time regarded by numerous poker observers and contemporaries as the best all-around player in the world. In 2017, he was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame.

Erik Seidel American poker player

Erik Seidel is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada, who has won eight World Series of Poker bracelets and a World Poker Tour title. He is married and has two daughters.

Daniel Negreanu Canadian poker player

Daniel Negreanu is a Canadian professional poker player who has won six World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and two World Poker Tour (WPT) championship titles. The independent poker ranking service Global Poker Index (GPI) recognized Negreanu as the best poker player of the decade in 2014.

Erick Lindgren American poker player

Erick A. Lindgren is an American professional poker player. He has won two World Poker Tour (WPT) titles, two World Series of Poker bracelets, and more than $10,500,000 in tournament earnings during his poker career. As of April 2020 he is 85th in the All time money list of poker.

The World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions is an invitational freeroll poker event. Wins in this event do not count as official WSOP bracelets, but the winner receives a large trophy in the shape of the official World Series of Poker logo. In 2010, the WSOP Tournament of Champions returned with a new format more akin to a typical sports league All-Star Event format. 27 players vied for $1 million, with 20 of those players selected by the fans via online vote at the WSOP's website.

<i>High Stakes Poker</i> television series

High Stakes Poker is a cash game poker television program which was broadcast by the cable television network GSN in the United States. The poker variant played on the show is no limit Texas hold 'em. The first 4 seasons ran from January 16, 2006 to December 17, 2007. The last 3 seasons ran from March 1, 2009 to May 21, 2011, and was simulcast in 3DTV on N3D.

Tom Dwan American poker player

Thomas Dwan Jr. is an American professional poker player who played online in the highest-stakes No-Limit Texas hold 'em and Pot-Limit Omaha games, primarily on Full Tilt Poker under the screen name "durrrr". Dwan has won prize money in live poker tournaments and has appeared on NBC's National Heads-Up Poker Championship, the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons of Poker After Dark, the third, fourth and fifth seasons of Full Tilt Poker's Million Dollar Cash Game, and the fifth and sixth seasons of GSN's High Stakes Poker.

Darvin Moon American poker player

Darvin Moon is an American self-employed logger and amateur poker player who was the runner-up of the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) US$10,000 no-limit Texas hold'em Main Event. It was his first time playing in the World Series of Poker. Moon, who taught himself how to play poker, ran a small logging company in the Maryland Panhandle before earning a 2009 World Series seat by winning a $130 satellite tournament.
