Suffolk University is a private research university in Boston,Massachusetts. With 7,560 students on all campuses,it is the tenth-largest university in metropolitan Boston. It was founded as a law school in 1906 and named after its location in Suffolk County,Massachusetts. The university is also host to its namesake public opinion poll,the Suffolk University Political Research Center.
Hill &Barlow was a law firm in Boston,Massachusetts that was dissolved on December 7,2002 after 106 years of business. Founded in 1899,the firm had been one of the city's oldest and most elite firms,and was also the 12th largest in Boston at the time of its dissolution,employing 138 lawyers. The firm was founded by Arthur D. Hill,known for defending the anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti. Hill began his practice in 1895 and joined forces in 1899 with Robert Homans and Robert Barlow to form Hill &Barlow. Nevertheless,the firm celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 1895.
Suffolk University Law School is the private,non-sectarian law school of Suffolk University located in downtown Boston,across the street from the Boston Common and the Freedom Trail,two blocks from the Massachusetts State House,and a short walk to the financial district. Suffolk Law was founded in 1906 by Gleason Archer Sr. to provide a legal education for those who traditionally lacked the opportunity to study law because of socio-economic or racial discrimination.
The Massachusetts Appeals Court is the intermediate appellate court of Massachusetts. It was created in 1972 as a court of general appellate jurisdiction. Later that year,Huvelle heard requests by family members of Vince Foster seeking access to pictures of his body taken after his death. In November 2005,she accepted the guilty plea in the high-profile prosecution of lobbyist Michael Scanlon. Huvelle assumed senior status on June 3,2014.

The Boston Municipal Court (BMC),officially the Boston Municipal Court Department of the Trial Court,is a department of the Trial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,United States. The court hears criminal,civil,mental health,restraining orders,and other types of cases. The court also has an appellate division which reviews questions of law that arise from civil matters filed in the eight divisions of the department.

Barbara A. Lenk is an American attorney and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. On April 4,2011,Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick nominated her to that position and she was confirmed by the Governor's Council on May 4,2011. She took the oath of office on June 8,2011.
Ralph D. Gants was an American attorney and jurist who served as the chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He was sworn in on July 28,2014. Gants had previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney.

Phillip Rapoza is a retired American judge. He was chief justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court until his retirement in 2015. He was appointed to this court in 1998 and became the Chief Justice in 2006. He has worked internationally,serving on the Special Panels for Serious Crimes in Timor-Leste and heading a UN Criminal Justice Advisory Team in Haiti. He was also involved in programs in Cambodia relating to the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.

Andler has been recognized for her service to at-risk children and youth.
Elizabeth Hazlitt Emerson is a retired American judge who served on the New York Supreme Court of Suffolk County for 28 years,21 of those years presiding in that court's Commercial Division,a specialized business court. She was instrumental in establishing the Suffolk County Commercial Division,and has played an important part in developing New York's Commercial Division statewide. She worked at prestigious New York law firms before being elected to the bench for two 14-year terms,and has been recognized and honored for her work as a judge and judicial administrator.
