Thomas Joseph John Higgins Jr. is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive coordinator for the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL). He has previously served as the Director of Officiating for the Canadian Football League (CFL) and is a former Canadian and American football player, head coach, and general manager.
Ronald Antonio Curry is an American football coach and former wide receiver who is the quarterbacks coach for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an assistant coach for the San Francisco 49ers.

James Thomas Popp is an American sports executive and coach. Popp is Vice President, Player Personnel, for the United States Football League (USFL). In 2021, Popp was Chief of Staff, Advisor to the Head Coach for the Charlotte 49ers football and also a running back coach and assistant head coach for the Alabama State Hornets. He worked extensively in the Canadian Football League, and was most recently the general manager of the Toronto Argonauts. Popp spent over two decades as General Manager of the Montreal Alouettes including several stints as Head Coach. Popp served as General Manager for two years for Baltimore Stallions, and the Director of Player Personnel for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. As a CFL general manager, three separate franchises under Popp have won five Grey Cup championship wins out of 11 appearances.
Bob Slowik is a gridiron football coach who is currently the linebackers coach for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was also a defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL) and for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL. He has also been a coach for Rutgers, East Carolina University, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Jovon Johnson is an American college football and former Canadian football defensive back. He is the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach for Gannon University, positions he has held since 2024. He was the winner of the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award in 2011 while with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, becoming the first defensive back to win the award in the league. He is also a two-time CFL All-Star and five-time CFL East Division All-Star. In addition, he was a member of the 2007 Saskatchewan Roughriders that won the Grey Cup, though he spent little time on the active roster and finished the last game on the practice roster. He has also been a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Erie RiverRats, Ottawa Redblacks, and Montreal Alouettes.
Mark Keller Dixon is an American former professional football player who was an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL)) during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He played college football for the Virginia Cavaliers, earning consensus All-American honors in 1993. He began his professional career playing in NFL Europe, then earned starting positions with the Baltimore Stallions and Montreal Alouettes of the CFL, and the Miami Dolphins of the NFL.
Barron Miles is an American former professional football player who played for 12 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also served as the defensive coordinator for the Montreal Alouettes and Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL. Miles finished his career tied for second all-time in career interceptions with 66 and as the all-time leader in blocked kicks with 13. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Bob Price is a former tight end coach and recruiting coordinator for the Virginia Cavaliers. He also was head coach of the Montreal Alouettes during the team's first season in 1996. He is the brother of Jim Price a tight end for the St. Louis Rams and the Dallas Cowboys.
Victor "Macho" Harris, Jr. is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies and was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL draft. Harris was also a member of the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL and the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Chris Ellis is an American college football coach and former defensive lineman. He is the defensive ends coach for the University of Richmond, a position he has held since 2022. He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies, where he was a first-team All-ACC selection. He was also a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Ken Miller was an American football coach. He last served as an offensive consultant for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He previously served in the league as head coach and vice president of football operations for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He served as the Roughriders head coach between 2008 and 2010, leading the team to appearances in the Grey Cup in 2009 and 2010. Miller returned as head coach of the Roughriders on August 19, 2011, after the firing of Greg Marshall after a 1–7 start to the 2011 CFL season. Miller was the club's offensive coordinator under head coach Kent Austin when they captured the 95th Grey Cup in 2007. He had previously served on the coaching staffs of the Toronto Argonauts, University of Redlands, Dickinson State, and Yucaipa High School.
Stanford Samuels Jr is a former professional Canadian football cornerback and current recruiting coordinator for Louisville Cardinals football. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. He played college football for Florida State.
Kye Stewart is an American college football coach and former linebacker. He is the outside linebackers coach for Illinois State University, a position he has held since 2018. He played college football at Illinois State, and was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He was also a member of the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL.
The 2004 Montreal Alouettes finished in first place in the East Division with a franchise record 14–4 record. The Alouettes appeared in the East Division final, but lost quarterback Anthony Calvillo to injury during the game, and with backup quarterback Ted White filling in for Calvillo for the remainder of the game, the Alouettes lost to the Toronto Argonauts.
Bryan Shepherd is an American college football coach and former cornerback. He is the cornerbacks coach for Montana State University, a position he has held since 2022. He played college football at North Dakota State University. Originally, he collegiately played for the University of Nebraska Omaha before transferring. The Washington Redskins signed him in 2014 after going unselected in the 2014 NFL draft.
Almondo Sewell is an American former gridiron football defensive tackle and is the defensive line coach for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at the University of Akron and attended Hargrave Military Academy before transferring to Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey. He has also been a member of the Edmonton Eskimos and Montreal Alouettes of the CFL and Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League (AFL).
The 2017 CFL season was the 64th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 60th season of the Canadian Football League. The regular season began on June 22 and concluded on November 4. The playoffs commenced on November 12 and concluded on November 26 with the Toronto Argonauts defeating the Calgary Stampeders to win the 105th Grey Cup.
Ryan Carter is an American football coach and former cornerback, who is currently a defensive graduate assistant on the Oklahoma Sooners coaching staff. He played college football at Clemson, including as a starting cornerback on the Tigers’ 2016 national championship team. In 2018, he signed with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League as an undrafted free agent out of college. From 2019–2021, he played cornerback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). In 2022, he joined his former Clemson defensive coordinator and current Oklahoma head football coach Brent Venables' inaugural Sooners coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant.
