Alok Mittal (born 1969 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh) is a senior officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), currently serving as Additional Director General of Police in Haryana. He belongs to the 1993 batch of the IPS (Haryana Cadre) and has held several important positions throughout his career.

Early life

He completed his schooling in Balrampur and Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. In 1990, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Police Management from Osmania University, Hyderabad, followed by an LLB degree from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws (PGDCL) from NALSAR University of Law , Hyderabad.
