Alpexpo is a convention center located in Grenoble, France. It opened in 1968 to serve as a bus station for the 1968 Winter Olympics. [1] In 1988 the Summum was integrated into the facility. [2] Alpexpo has hosted concerts by notable artists such as Bob Dylan, Judas Priest, Scorpions and Ted Nugent. [3]
Since 2012, Alpexpo hosts two major scientific events with Semicon Europa [4] [5] organized alternately with the city of Dresden and IoT Planet one of the largest European events related to the Internet of things. [6]

Makuhari Messe (幕張メッセ) is a Japanese convention center outside Tokyo, located in the Mihama-ku ward of Chiba city, in the northwest corner of Chiba prefecture. Designed by Fumihiko Maki, it is accessible by Tokyo's commuter rail system. Makuhari is the name of the area, and Messe is a German language word meaning "trade fair".

The Hammerstein Ballroom is a 12,000-square-foot (1,100 m2) ballroom located within the Manhattan Center at 311 West 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The capacity of the ballroom is dependent on the configuration of the room; it seats 2,500 people for theatrical productions and musical performances, and several thousand for events held within a central ring. The floor of the ballroom is flat. The two main balconies – which are unusually close to the ground and gently sloped – seat a total of 1,200. The third balcony has been stripped of seats and is not used.

The railway from Grenoble to Montmélian is a 52 km (32 mi) long railway in southeastern France. It was built by the PLM and opened on 15 September 1864 to provide a link between Grenoble and Montmélian. In September 1991 it was electrified between Grenoble and Gières and electrification of the whole line was realised and in service by 15 December 2013.
Pierre Mendès-France University was a French university, based in Grenoble, focused on social sciences. It was named after the late French politician Pierre Mendès-France. It is now part of the Université Grenoble Alpes.
The Stade des Alpes is a rugby and football stadium in Grenoble, France. The stadium seats 20,068 and hosts the home games of Grenoble Foot 38 and the FC Grenoble rugby club. Situated in Paul Mistral Park, it replaced their stadium Stade Lesdiguières. It was built while GF38 played in the top divisions of French football, and had become somewhat of a white elephant when the club fell to the 4th division and attracted few fans. However, the stadium gained greater viability once FC Grenoble earned their most recent promotion to the Top 14 in 2012. Since 2014–15, with FC Grenoble now consolidated in Top 14, the club have changed their primary home from their traditional ground, Stade Lesdiguières, to Stade des Alpes. With GF38 returning to the second tier of French football in 2017, the side began to attract more fans again.
The Rampe de Laffrey is a section of France's Route nationale 85, today called the Route Napoléon, located in the department of Isère between the communes of Laffrey and Vizille, about fifteen kilometers southeast of Grenoble. It is a steep and mostly relatively straight section of road which ends in a sharp turn, and is known for the high number of fatal automobile accidents which have occurred along its route. Four of these, in 1946, 1973, 1975, and 2007, and all affecting buses of pilgrims returning from Notre Dame de la Salette, are counted among the deadliest in French history.

Tournée Européenne 2013 was the tenth concert tour by Canadian singer Celine Dion. The tour was organized to support the highly successful French language album Sans attendre, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide. It was Dion's first dedicated Francophone tour since the D'eux Tour in 1995–1996. With only ten concerts performed, it was also the shortest tour of Dion's career. Overall, the tour grossed an estimated $20 million from nine shows in Europe. The tour would also mark as the final concert tour for the majority of Dion's longtime touring band members consisting of musical director Claude "Mego" Lemay, guitarist André Coutu, keyboardist Yves Frulla, bassist Marc Langais, and violinist Jean-Seb Carré.
The Summer Tour 2016 was the eleventh concert tour by Canadian singer Celine Dion. It was organized to support Dion's French-language studio album, Encore un soir, released on 26 August 2016. It was Dion's first tour since the Sans attendre Tour in 2013. With 28 shows, it was also her biggest Francophone tour since the D'eux Tour in 1995–96. The show began in Antwerp, Belgium on 20 June 2016 and concluded on 31 August 2016 in Trois-Rivières, Québec. The Summer Tour 2016 grossed $56 million.
