Alphense Zwemclub (in English: Alphense Swim Club), shortly AZC or Alphen is a Dutch water polo and swimming club from Alphen aan den Rijn. The club has competitive departments for sports like water polo, synchronized swimming, competitive swimming, and diving. Additionally AZC has an active youth with mini water polo for children from 7 years.
The Alphense Swim Club was founded on March 17, 1926. The association participates to the KNZB.
The previous sponsor of AZC was Electrolux, which was built between 2005 and 2010 was released with the name Electrolux AZC. Other well-known sponsors from the past: Unique, Microlife, Intervam, Tarvo, Converse, Peter Langhout Travel, Hans Verkerk kitchens and Sprey Wood wood imports.
AZC is among the men in the Dutch water polo Premier League. The club has seven men's teams and several youth teams playing in the various water polo competitions.
The women's teams of AZC played between 2006 and 2012 in a community starts with the Gouwe from Waddinxveen. Since the 2012-2013 season they play again with a women's team under his own name in the league.
AZC is the association which in recent decades has dominated Dutch men's water polo since 1976 by dragging inside include 20 league titles and 21 national cups .
AZC was for years the main supplier of men's national team. AZC is the only association of Dutch soil that has lain several times in the final of the European gentlemen opposite include the Italian Pro Recco and Catalunya from Barcelona.

Igor Milanović is a Serbian professional water polo head coach and former player. He is considered one of the best water polo players of all time. Milanović had an illustrious professional career spanning twenty years.
Ethnikos Piraeus is a Greek multisport club based in Piraeus. It was founded in 1923. The full name of the club is Ethnikos Omilos Filathlon Pireos/Phalirou or Ethnikos OFPF, which means National Club of Fans of Piraeus and Phalerum. Ethnikos has sections in football, basketball, volleyball, waterpolo, swimming. In most of these sports, Ethnikos has won titles and honours. The most successful department is by far the water polo, which has won many domestic and European titles. Nevertheless, the most popular is the football team, which had a remarkable tradition in the first division in the past.
NO Vouliagmeni or "NOV" is a major aquatic sports club, founded by local sportsmen in 1937 in the seaside resort of Vouliagmeni, Athens, Greece. The club is located on the eastern edge of the Mikro Kavouri peninsula, adjacent to the Astir Palace Hotel and overlooking the bay, town and lake of Vouliagmeni.
Maro Joković is a Croatian water polo player. He is left-handed and plays in the right wing position. He competed at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics and won a gold medal in 2012 and a silver in 2016. He held the world title in 2007 and the European title in 2010.

Stefano Tempesti is an Italian water polo goalkeeper. He competed at five consecutive Olympics between 2000 and 2016 and won a silver medal in 2012 and a bronze in 2016. He is the second water polo goalkeeper to compete at five Olympics, after Spaniard Jesús Rollán. Tempesti was the top goalkeeper at the 2008 Olympics, with 83 saves. He was also the top goalkeeper at the 2012 Olympics, with 87 saves.

Rapallo Pallanuoto or simply Rapallo is a club affiliated to the Italian Swimming Federation re-founded in 2012 on the way of previous historical Rapallo Nuoto, the latter operating from 1971 to 2011. The club is active in three areas: swimming, water polo and master. The team plays its home games in the Olympic pool Municipal of San Pietro di Novella in Rapallo, near Genoa.
