Rifai or Rifai Nuts is a Lebanese multinational nut-retailing company headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon. It is the largest nut-retailing chain in the Middle East and the company with the biggest market share in Lebanon. [1]

Rifai was founded in Beirut in 1948 as a home-based operation supplying roasted nuts and coffee to the local neighborhood. In addition to its retail brand, Rifai wholesales nuts under other brands.

History

Rifai began on Mazraa street in Beirut in 1948 offering home-roasted nuts and kernels to the Lebanese.

Rifai's offers locally produced products in a variety of flavors. Its factory employs over 200 employees

In 2021, MERIT, the holding company of the Saadé family, completed the acquisition of Rifai in a bid to accelerate the brand's growth and expand worldwide.

FARRA Design Center is a privately held home products retail store that sells imported furniture and home accessories. The company's manufacturing facility is located in Everett, Massachusetts, just north of Boston. Leavitt employs approximately 100 employees. The company is a third generation family-owned and operated company. Current owners consist of a living daughter and grandchildren of founder Michael Hintlian in addition to executive management. Leavitt's CEO currently is Mark Hintlian who succeeded his father James T. Hintlian in 2007. James (Jamie) T. Hintlian, Jr now serves as the company's chairman. Leavitt produces several products under three primary brand names: Teddie Peanut Butter, Americana and River Queen Nuts. Big D is a British pub snack brand of peanuts and snack food, introduced in 1967.They produce 50g packets of Carded nuts and Tumble (Loose) which are hugely popular within the licensed and retail trade within the UK and Ireland via their association with Tayto. They are growing rapidly after re designing their cards and pack designs. Their flavours include Salted Peanuts, Dry Roasted, Birds Eye Chilli and Honey Roasted. They also produce Salted Cashews in and Smoked Almonds, which are also targeted at the licensed and retail sector. Bazzini

Bazzini, also known as the A. L. Bazzini Company, and Bazzini Brothers, is a nut, fruit, and chocolate company. Founded in New York City in 1886, it is the oldest nut company in the United States. From its beginning until 1968, it was based on Park Place in the Washington Market neighborhood, part of what is now Tribeca. It moved to a large nut processing facility on Greenwich Street until 1997, when it moved to the Bronx, and later to Allentown, Pennsylvania.
