Altus Theart is a South African film, stage and television actor, best known for his roles in the South African soap operas Kruispad and "Getroud met Rugby", and for his starring role in the 2008 Afrikaans teen comedy Bakgat .
On stage, Theart appeared in major roles in the plays Dis hoe dit was… Die Steve Hofmeyr Storie with Steve Hofmeyr and Shaun Barnard; and Schalk Schoombie's Samoerai with Ilze Heemert. [1] While studying at the Tshwane University of Technology, he appeared in the short films Architecture of Fear (directed by Wimpie van der Merwe) Bloedrooi and Spaarwiel.
Theart is fluent in English and Afrikaans, and is a multi-talented performer who can sing, MC, act and direct. [2] On 6 January 2012, he married co-actress Zetske Van Pletzen, with whom he appeared in Kruispad.

Die Stem van Suid-Afrika, also known as "The Call of South Africa" or simply "Die Stem", is a former national anthem of South Africa. There are two versions of the song, one in English and the other in Afrikaans, which were in use early on in the Union of South Africa alongside God Save the Queen and as the sole anthem after South Africa became a republic. It was the sole national anthem from 1957 to 1994, and shared co-national anthem status with "God Save the King/Queen" from 1938 to 1957. After the end of apartheid in the early 1990s, it was retained as a co-national anthem along with "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika" from 1994 to 1997, when a new hybrid song incorporating elements of both songs was adopted as the country's new national anthem, which is still in use.

It was marketed as an Afrikaans-language version of the British television show Footballers' Wives; the title literally translates to English as Married To Rugby. The series is one of the most watched drama-series on KykNET. The series aired its last episode on the 30 of September 2022 after 7 successful seasons.
