The Michigan State University Men's Volleyball Club was founded in the late 1950s and revived as a registered student organization at Michigan State University in 1987. It is currently a founding member of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association ("MIVA"), and registered with the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation ("NCVF"). The club competes in MIVA organized intercollegiate club competitions throughout the season and the season-ending NCVF National Championships. The club currently has four teams with progressive skill levels—Green, White, Posse, and Greenhorns. Club teams practice at the IM West Sports Arena and participate in a variety of club fundraising and community outreach and supportive activities, like Special Olympics and fundraising for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
The Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represents Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Ramblers participate as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Ramblers had joined the Missouri Valley Conference in 2013, and stayed until 2022. Prior to 2013, the team had spent 34 seasons as a charter member of the Horizon League.

The Loyola Ramblers men's volleyball team represents Loyola University Chicago in NCAA competition as a member of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA), one of the seven conferences that compete at the National Collegiate level of NCAA men's volleyball. The Ramblers are coached by Shane Davis, who returned as head coach in 2024, after spending the previous eight seasons as the head coach of the Northwestern University women’s volleyball team. Davis previously coached the Ramblers from 2003 to 2015. Davis’ overall record as Loyola head coach through 12 seasons is 265-88 (.751), and he led the Ramblers to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2014 and 2015.

It was held April 13 through April 20, 2019 at campus sites. The winner received the Association's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
