The men's basketball tournament at the 1991 Pan American Games was held from August 3 to 17, 1991 in Havana, Cuba. The women also competed in the Cuban capital, from August 3 to 12. [1] [2] Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva was the venue for the games. [3]

  4. Venezuela was later disqualified after one of their players, Armando Becker, was found guilty of using doping in the match against Uruguay on August 13, 1991. Venezuela therefore was set back from the sixth to the tenth and last spot in the final ranking.
