Alvares is a ski resort in the Iranian province of Ardabil. It is the second standard ski resort in Iran and is situated in the hamlet of Alvares, which is located 20 kilometers away from the city of Sarein at an elevation of roughly 3,200 meters above sea level.

Tryvann is a small lake in Nordmarka, the forest area just north of Oslo city, near the Holmenkollen ski jump. By the water lies a cabin called Tryvannstua, in which there is a café open regularly during both summer and winter. On a hill above the lake looms the television tower Tryvannstårnet, visible from most of Oslo. Tryvann is the entry and beginning of Nordmarka. It is used all year around. During winter months, the only access to the village is via the Skitube underground railway. In summer, access is via off-road only. Little Mac Ski Hill, known as Little Mac, is a community-operated ski area adjacent to Mackenzie, British Columbia, Canada in the northern Rocky Mountain Trench. The area has one tow lift and vertical differential of 90 m (295 ft). The longest run is 210 m (689 ft). In addition to downhill skiing, the hill also has areas for tobogganing and snowboarding. The hill itself is connected to John Dahl Regional Park which features groomed cross-country ski trails and eventually connects to the Mackenzie Recreation Centre. In 2021 an outdoor ice rink was opened in the park and was open to members of the public to use. Though not directly part of the ski area, there are an additional 32 km (20 mi) of groomed and lit cross-country ski trails immediately accessible from the town of Mackenzie, with three specially built warming huts.

Marjan Kalhor is an Iranian alpine skier who became the first Iranian woman to participate in the Winter Olympics, at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Kalhor competed in the slalom and giant slalom competitions. She was her nation's flag bearer in the Opening Ceremony. Kalhor finished 60th among 86 competitors in the giant slalom and 55th among 87 participants in the slalom.

Shemshak is a ski resort situated to the north-east of Tehran in the Alborz mountain range. Shemshak is the second-largest ski area in Iran after Dizin and Darbansar. It came into operation in 1958. It includes two chairlifts and three surface lifts. The slopes lie at an altitude of 2,550 m to 3,050 m above sea level. The resort includes two main slopes, each with a chair lift at the apex and several lifts. There are no lighting facilities for night skiing.

The resort is located in the northern foothills of Mishodaghi. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in Iran that still operating. The resort have a ski lift. Ski season in Yam resort depends on winter precipitation each year which normally starts in January and continues till end of March.

Tour of Iran (Azerbaijan) 2019 is a UCI 2.1 Asian Tour and the 34th edition of Tour of Iran (Azerbaijan). It was held in five stages in October 2019 in Iranian Azerbaijan. The race started in the city of Tabriz and went through Urmia, Jolfa, and Sarein ending at the Sahand Ski Resort.
