Amagoro Constituency

Amagoro Constituency was an electoral constituency in Kenya's former Western Province. It was the only constituency in the now-defunct Teso District. Sospeter Ojaamong represented the constituency for the Orange Democratic Movement in the National Assembly, and did so since 2002. [1] In the 2007 general election, he was challenged by Gabriel Obasie of the recently created Party of National Unity. [2]

In 2010, the Teso district was eliminated and replaced by Busia County, and the electoral constituency was divided into Teso North Constituency and Teso South Constituency.

Teso District is a defunct administrative district in the former Western Province of Kenya. Its capital town was Amagoro, next to Malaba a border town between Kenya and Uganda. The district had a population of 5,000 and an area of 559 square kilometres (216 sq mi). The district had one electoral constituency, Amagoro Constituency. Alupe Leprosy Hospital is located in this former district.

Alego Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of six constituencies of Siaya County. The constituency was established for the 1963 national elections. It is also known as Alego-Usonga Constituency. The constituency has 13 wards, of which five elect councillors for the urban Siaya municipality and the rest seven for the rural Siaya County Council.

Sub-Counties of Kenya Wikimedia list article

Sub-counties are the decentralised units through which county governments of Kenya will provide functions and services. Except for the parts which fall under urban areas, sub-counties will coincide with the constituencies created under article 89 of the Constitution of Kenya. Sub-counties will be headed by a sub-county administrator, appointed by a County Public Service Board.
