Sospeter Odeke Ojaamongson is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Amagoro Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the parliamentary election of 2007.
Ojaamong was born in 1963 in Otimong Location,Chakol Division,of Teso South District in Busia County. He attended Kwang'amor Primary School in Amukura Division between 1972 and 1978,and later proceeded to St Paul's Amukura High School for both Ordinary and Advanced Level Secondary Education. He attended his O-level education between 1979 and 1983,and proceeded for his A-level education in the same school from 1984 to 1985. After his A-Level,Hon. Ojaamong qualified and joined Kenyatta University where he graduated with Bachelor of Education (Science) degree,majoring in Biology and Chemistry. He also holds a Post graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. [1]
In 2014,Ojaamong was sued for failing to pay his child support. He was accused of sending messages with profane words to the mother,Njagi Nyaboke,of his out of wedlock children. [4] The woman released a string of messages that showed the issue has been ongoing since 2011. However,this was not the first time was Ojaamong was having domestic issues,he was charged at the Makadara Law Courts on 31 October 2003 for assault on his then wife with whom he has since divorced resulting in a child custody battle.
Always known as a thief,a person who is leading Busia County to poverty looting public resources and promoting nepotism;On 4 September 2015,Governor Sospeter Ojaamong's houses were raided by anti-corruption officials. The governor later claimed these were 'political instigated' as he had done nothing wrong. However,EACC maintained that they were within the law. Computers and Files related to an ongoing court case were confiscated from the governors home and offices., [5] [6]
Busia is a county in the former Western Province of Kenya. It borders Kakamega County to the east,Bungoma County to the north,Lake Victoria and Siaya County to the south and Busia District,Uganda to the west. The county has about 893,000 people and spans about 1,700 square kilometers making it one of the smallest counties in Kenya. Busia is inhabited by the Luhya tribe of Kenya with smaller groups of Teso and Luo. The Luhya communities include the Abakhayo,Marachi,Samia and Abanyala communities.
H.E. Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya,EGH is a Kenyan politician,serving as the incumbent governor of Kakamega County and Council of Governors chairperson. He was elected 4 March 2013 and became the first governor of Kakamega County following promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya,2010,and subsequently in August 2017,for his second term as the governor. He is,therefore,the pioneer Governor of Kakamega County under the devolved system of governance in Kenya that established 47 counties. He was previously Minister of State for Planning,National Development and Vision 2030 in the government of President Mwai Kibaki. He was appointed on 14 January 2019 as the Council of Governors of Kenya chairperson. He was rated as the best Governor for the year 2020 by the Infotrak Research Group. H.E Wycliffe Oparanya is also the current Orange Democratic Movement Deputy party leader.
Otuoma Paul Nyongesa is a Kenyan politician. He was a member of Orange Democratic Movement until 21 April 2017 when he tendered his resignation. He was elected to represent the Funyula Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election and was the minister for the Local Government from 2010-2013. He was a member of Parliament for Funyula Constituency until August 2017 when he contested for gubernatorial seat for Busia County against his rival Sospeter Ojamoong but failed. Otuoma was born on 15 September 1966. He attended Khalsa primary school in Nairobi,Eastleigh High School in Nairobi from 1981 to 1984,and then went to Nairobi school1 from 1985 to 1986. Otuoma is a veterinarian by training,holding a Bachelor's of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi (1991),where he also earned an MBA in 2001. He is married with 5 children.
Mbadi John Ng'ongo is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Gwassi Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election.
Peter Anyang' Nyong'o is a Kenyan politician and author who is the Governor of Kisumu County. He is a former Secretary-General of Orange Democratic Movement. Professor Nyong'o was the acting party leader from March 11 until late May when Raila Odinga was in the United States and was elected to the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election,representing the Kisumu Rural Constituency. He was the Minister for Medical Services and previously the Minister for Planning &National Development. He is currently serving as the Governor for Kisumu County after serving as the Senator from 2013 to 2017.
Gerald Otieno Kajwang was a Kenyan politician. He belonged to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Mbita Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election. In the bitterly contested 2013 elections,Otieno Kajwang was elected to represent Homa Bay County in the Senate of Kenya. Upon his death,his brother,Moses Otieno Kajwang won the election to succeed him in Parliament,representing Homa Bay.

Hassan Ali Joho is a Kenyan politician and the current Governor of Mombasa County affiliated with the Orange Democratic Movement. He was also elected to represent the Kisauni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya during the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. On 4 March 2013,during the general election,Joho was elected as the first governor of Mombasa County. In 2017 General Elections Day in Kenya held on 8th,8th,2017,Joho defended his seat on an ODM ticket,he is the ongoing governor of Mombasa County,County 001. Despite significant politically engineered setbacks,Joho emerged triumphant by winning with 220 576 votes against his closest rival Suleimann Shabal with 69 322 votes,Suleimann is a member of the Jubilee Party.

Reliable sources says that He will be contesting for the Kericho County Gubernatorial seat in 2022,seeking to succeed Prof. Paul chepkwony.
Zakayo Cheruiyot is a Kenyan politician who was born in 1954 at Kapsogut village in Bureti Constituency,Kericho County. His father,Arap Komuilong,was an Assistant Chief to Arap Tengecha,the Chief,during the colonial period. Cheruiyot attended Kapsogut Primary School prior to joining Litein High School and later Chesamis High School for his A-level education. The revered administrator holds a bachelor's degree in Literature and Governance from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies from Birmingham University in the UK. He is widely trained in public administration and has undergone major short courses on administration and management at the Kenya School of Government.

Hon Adan Keynan Wehliye was a football player who played the right back National Assembly MP in Northern Kenya. He served Wajir West from 1997 to 2002,and then from 2007 to 2013. He then moved to Eldas constituency which was curved from Wajir West. Keynan served as Eldas MP in the 11th Parliament and he was then re-elected to serve the same constituency in 12th parliament. Amagoro Constituency was an electoral constituency in Kenya's former Western Province. It was the only constituency in the now-defunct Teso District. Sospeter Ojaamong represented the constituency for the Orange Democratic Movement in the National Assembly,and did so since 2002. In the 2007 general election,he was challenged by Gabriel Obasie of the recently created Party of National Unity.
Local elections were held in Busia County to elect a Governor and County Assembly on 4 March 2013. Under the new constitution,which was passed in a 2010 referendum,the 2013 general elections were the first in which Governors and members of the County Assemblies for the newly created counties were elected. They will also be the first general elections run by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) which has released the official list of candidates.
