Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi is a Kenyan politician and land economist who is currently serving as Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya,and since 2023,in an expanded role of Foreign &Diaspora Affairs Minister of Kenya. He is a former party leader of the Amani National Congress (ANC),one of the founding political parties,of the Kenya Kwanza alliance.

Makadara Constituency is an electoral constituency in Nairobi City County,Kenya. It is one of the seventeen constituencies in the county. It was renamed prior to the 1997 elections,but was also known as Nairobi Doonholm Constituency for the 1963 elections,then as Bahati Constituency from 1966 to 1997. It consists of some central and southern of central areas of Nairobi County. The entire constituency is located within Nairobi City County,and has an area of 13 km2. The current constituency boundaries were revised prior to the 2013 elections. It has a population of 189,536 people from the 2019 census report.
Hassan Ali Joho is the Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy in the Republic of Kenya and former Governor of Mombasa County affiliated with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). He was also elected to represent the Kisauni Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya during the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. On 4 March 2013,during the general election,Joho was elected as the first governor of Mombasa County. In the 2017 General Elections held on 8 August,Joho retained his seat on an ODM ticket. Despite significant politically engineered setbacks,Joho emerged triumphant by winning with 220,576 votes against his closest rival Suleiman Shahbal with 69,322 votes,Suleiman was a member of the Jubilee Party. Joho served as governor of Mombasa until 2022 when he completed the constitutionally allowed two five-year terms. He was succeeded by Abdulswammad Sherrif Nassir the former member of the National Assembly for Mvita Constituency.

They were the first elections held under the new constitution,which was approved in a 2010 referendum,and were also the first run by the new Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). The county entity was effected in 2013,replacing Nairobi City Council,which had been the long-standing unit of local administration since before Kenya's independence. The city county consists of eleven gazetted sub-counties and eighty-five electoral wards. On the national level,Nairobi also sends seventeen Members of Parliament across the constituencies and one County Woman Representative to the National Assembly;and one senator to the Senate. The county government,which is allotted devolved functions as stated in the Constitution of Kenya,is headed by the county governor,who appoints his cabinet. The county's legislature is headed by the County Speaker,who presides over the County Assembly. The Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) are elected from single-member districts and represent their respective electoral wards. Additional MCAs are also nominated by political parties as a form of affirmative action.
Sub-counties,also known as Districts,are the decentralised units through which government of Kenya provides functions and services. At national level,sub-counties take a more administrative function like security,statistical purposes,provision of government services,etc. Even though the sub-counties are divisions of counties,powers to create new national sub-counties lies with the national government. As of 2023,there are 314 sub-counties,compared to 290 constituencies. A deputy county commissioner is appointed by the state to lead each sub-county. The sub-counties are further divided into divisions,locations and sub-locations.

He was nominated to Parliament by The National Alliance (TNA) party which was part of the ruling Jubilee Coalition. He was the National Chairman of The National Alliance (TNA) until 9 September 2016 when the party merged with 12 others to form the Jubilee Party.
