Godana Doyo is a Kenyan politician who was the first Governor of Isiolo County from 2013 to 2017,elected as a member of the United Republican Party (before it joined the Jubilee Party). [1] He was defeated in his re-election bid,this time as a member of the Party of Development and Reforms, [1] by Mohammed Kuti. [2] Doyo was cleared of all cases filed by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. [3] [4] [5]

Kiraitu Murungi is a Commissioner at the Kenya Law Reform Commission and the former governor of Meru County in Kenya. He is a former long-serving member of parliament for South Imenti constituency (1992-2013),former cabinet minister,and former senator for Meru County.

Isiolo County is to be the first county to be developed as part of the Kenya Vision 2030 program. Other upcoming urban centres are:Garbatulla,Modogashe,Kinna,Merti and Oldonyiro. The county is home to Sakuye and Borana tribes but also has a significant number of people from Turkana,Samburu,Gabra,Garre and Meru communities.
James Omingo Magara is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Jubilee Party and was the MP for South Mugirango Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya from the year 2000 - 2009. He first won the seat in the by-elections in 2001 on Ford-Kenya ticket,replacing his brother Enoch Nyakieya Magara of Ford-Kenya,who had died in a car accident. He retained the seat at the 2002 elections,but now representing Ford-People,and in the 2007 elections representing ODM. He was the assistant minister of trade until December 2009 the High court of Kenya declared the South Mugirango parliamentary seat vacant due to irregularities in the election process,although Magara himself was not found guilty of any rigging. Subsequent South Mugirango by-election was held in June 2010. Magara decamped to the little-known People's Democratic Party (PDP) after being denied ODM's nomination apparently because he had fallen out of favour with party leader Raila Odinga. The by-election was won by Manson Nyamweya of Ford-People,who beat Magara and Ibrahim Ochoi of ODM. In 2013,Omingo Magara Vied for Kisii Senatorial seat where he came far 3rd as Chris Obure worn in the fiercely contest elections
Isaac Kiprono Ruto is a Kenyan politician. He is the Chama Cha Mashinani Party leader. He was elected the first governor of Bomet County in 2013 Kenyan general elections. He hails from Tumoi,Sigor in Chepalungu constituency and went to Tenwek High School where he proceeded to study Political Science at the University of Nairobi. He is also a former chairman of the Council of Governors in Kenya.
Mohammed Abdi Kuti is a Kenyan politician and the former governor of Isiolo County from August 23,2017. Kuti previously served as the senator for Isiolo county for one term (2013–2017),a post he was elected to as a member of the United Republican Party. He further represented the Isiolo North Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya for 10 years (2003-2013). He also held the positions of Minister for Youth Affairs in 2005 and Minister for Livestock from 2008 to 2013.

Local elections were held in Isiolo County to elect a Governor and County Assembly on 4 March 2013. Under the new constitution,which was passed in a 2010 referendum,the 2013 general elections were the first in which Governors and members of the County Assemblies for the newly created counties were elected. They will also be the first general elections run by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) which has released the official list of candidates.
Martin Nyaga Wambora is a Kenyan politician. He is the first governor of Embu County in Kenya after winning on a TNA ticket in the Embu gubernatorial elections which was conducted in March 2013. She once served as the Deputy Majority Leader –Senate of the Republic of Kenya. Fatuma Dullo made history after being among the first three female senators to be elected as well as the only one from the Northeastern Region. She is a lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and previously served in various capacities in the public sector and in civil society. Her expertise is in public administration,governance and human rights advocacy.
