The African Unification Front (AUF) is an organisation aiming to promote the political, social and economic union of Africa.
Pan-Africanism is a worldwide movement that aims to encourage and strengthen bonds of solidarity between all indigenous and diasporan ethnic groups of African descent. Based on a common goal going back to the Atlantic slave trade, the movement extends beyond continental Africans with a substantial support base among the African diaspora in the Caribbean, Latin America, the United States and Canada. It is based on the belief that unity is vital to economic, social, and political progress and aims to "unify and uplift" people of African descent. The ideology asserts that the fate of all African people and countries are intertwined. At its core Pan-Africanism is a belief that “African people, both on the continent and in the diaspora, share not merely a common history, but a common destiny". Pan-Africanist intellectual, cultural, and political movements tend to view all Africans and descendants of Africans as belonging to a single "race" and sharing cultural unity. Pan-Africanism posits a sense of a shared historical fate for Africans in the Americas, West Indies, and, on the continent itself, has centered on the Atlantic trade in slaves, African slavery, and European imperialism.
The Assembly of the African Union, which is formally known as the African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government (AU-AHSG), is one of several decision-making bodies within the African Union. The other bodies are the Pan-African Parliament; the Executive Council, consisting of foreign ministers of the AU members states; and the African Union Commission. The Chairperson of the Assembly has few formal functions, the most important of which is to preside at the Pan-African Parliament during the election and swearing in of the President of the Pan-African Parliament.
The Bureau of the Pan-African Parliament is essentially the leadership of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) and consists of one President and four Vice-Presidents.

Lee Ledogo Maeba is a Nigerian politician who was elected senator for the Rivers State South East constituency on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform in April 2003, at age 37, and was reelected in April 2007. As of 15 March 2004, Maeba was a member of the Pan-African Parliament. He was a member of the Committee on Trade, Customs and Immigration Matters, one of the Ten Permanent Committees of the Pan-African Parliament.

Stephen Julius Masele (MP) is a Tanzanian Diplomat, Member of Parliament, global young politician and a former Investment Banker. Masele is the current First-Vice President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), an organ of the African Union based in South Africa. Elected in May 2018, he oversees Administration and Human Resources of the Continental Body among others. He also presides over the Pan-African Parliamentary Alliance on Food Security and Nutrition (PAP-FSN), a joint PAP-FAO project for Africa. He has been a member of the Pan-African Parliament since 2010.
