Front Line Assembly (FLA) is a Canadian industrial metal band formed by Bill Leeb in 1986 after leaving Skinny Puppy. Inspired mainly by Front 242, FLA has developed its own sound incorporating elements of electronic body music (EBM). The band's membership has rotated through several members over the years, including Michael Balch, Rhys Fulber, and Chris Peterson, all of whom are associated with several other acts.

In the early 1990s, the style spawned the dark electro genre, and in the mid-/late-1990s, the aggrotech offshoot. The fan base for the style is linked to the rivethead subculture.
