The Rochester RazorSharks are an inactive professional basketball team based in Rochester, New York. The RazorSharks were founded in 2005 as a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA). They remained in the ABA until 2007, leaving the league to become founding members of the Premier Basketball League (PBL). The RazorSharks have won eight championships to date – the 2006 ABA championship and PBL titles in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. The Wilmington Sea Dawgs are a professional basketball team and founding member of the Tobacco Road Basketball League. The team is based in Wilmington, North Carolina, and began play in 2006 as a member of the American Basketball Association. The team later played as a founding member of the Premier Basketball League and a founding member of the Continental Basketball League. In 2013, they will play at Blizzard Athletics, having previously played at the Joe and Barbara Schwartz Center on the campus of Cape Fear Community College.

The Quebec Kebs were a professional basketball team located in Laval, Quebec, formerly based in Quebec City, Quebec. The Kebs were part of the National Basketball League of Canada. They also played in the Atlantic Division of the Premier Basketball League. Prior to May 2008, they played in the American Basketball Association. Kebs is short for Kebekwa, a phonetic spelling of the word Québécois, or "Quebecers." Prior to folding, the team was briefly renamed the Laval Kebs.

The Kentucky Bisons were a basketball team in the American Basketball Association which began play in 2008–09, play in the South Central division. Although the management office for the Bisons was based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the Bisons actually played their home games at the Owensboro Sportscenter, 60 miles north of Bowling Green. On December 14, 2010, the Bisons stated they would be suspending operations due to lack of support from the city of Owensboro, KY.

The 2007-2008 ABA season was the seventh season of the American Basketball Association that lasted from November 2008 and ended with the championship game in March 2009 between the Vermont Frost Heaves and the San Diego Wildcats. The Vermont Frost Heaves won their league-best second title after defeating the Wildcats, 87-84.

The 2006-2007 ABA season was the sixth season of the American Basketball Association that lasted from November 2007 and ended with the championship game in March 2008 between the Vermont Frost Heaves and the Texas Tycoons. The season ended with the Frost Heaves winning their first ABA championship, 143-95 over the Texas Tycoons.

The 2005–06 ABA season was the fifth season of the American Basketball Association. The regular season began in November 2005 and concluded with the championship game in March against the Rochester Razorsharks and the Southern California Legends. The Razorsharks won the game, 117–114, to claim their first ABA title.

The 2002 Southern Conference men's basketball tournament took place from February 28–March 3, 2002 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. The Davidson Wildcats, led by head coach Bob McKillop defeated the Furman Paladins in the championship game to win their seventh title in school history and receive the automatic berth to the 2002 NCAA tournament.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2016 MAC men's basketball tournament</span>

The 2016 Mid-American Conference men's basketball tournament was the post-season men's basketball tournament for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) 2015–16 college basketball season. Tournament first-round games were held on campus sites at the higher seed on March 7. The remaining rounds were held at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland between March 10–12. Buffalo won the tournament and received the conference's automatic bid into the 2016 NCAA tournament where they lost to Miami (FL) in the first round.

The 2008 American Basketball Association All-Star Game was held at the 1,856 seat Barre Auditorium in Barre, Vermont on March 21–22, 2008, where East defeated West in style, 161–140 in front of 1,500 basketball fans. Anthony Anderson of the Manchester Millrats won the MVP award. Senegalese player Issa Konare and Chinese Sun Yue were the only foreigners of the All-Star Game.
