The project took a year and a half to complete, since much of the film footage and images were only recently declassified by the United States Department of Defense.

People think they know him but in reality they don't know him ... He was a human being with many layers of complexity". The film was released in two parts on May 5 and 6, 2002, with part one written, produced, and directed by Adriana Bosch, and part two written, produced, and directed by Elizabeth Deane.
