Amin Salam (born 1979) is a Lebanese international corporate lawyer, [1] economist [2] and the Minister of Economy [3] [4] in Najib Mikati's cabinet. [5]
Salam was born to a Sunni Family in Beirut. He attended Sagesse University [1] and George Washington University, [1] earning a law degree.
In 2007,he served as an International Legal Counsel for Shearman &Sterling LLP based in New York City where he advised clients on structuring business transactions with sovereign wealth funds,conducted due diligence on legal disputes involving major oil and gas companies in the MENA region,and advised clients on major mergers and acquisitions.
In 2011,he served as Vice President of the National U.S.–Arab Chamber of Commerce where he functioned as the primary liaison between the US and the 22 MENA countries in advising high level officials in the public and private sectors on issues of trade,investment,security,and foreign affairs. In this capacity,he promoted sustainable bilateral business relationships for major corporations.
In 2018,he served as a senior managing director at Ankura Global Consulting Group where he advised on global infrastructure projects,trade,FDI and managed the global operations of the firm with focus on the EMEA regions. [6]
Bassel Fleihan was a Lebanese legislator and minister of economy and trade. He died from injuries sustained when a massive bomb exploded on the Beirut seafront as he passed by in former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri's motorcade on 14 February 2005.

The cabinet led by Prime Minister Amin Hafez was one of the short-lived cabinets of Lebanon. It was inaugurated on 25 April 1973,succeeding the cabinet led by Saeb Salam who resigned on 10 April 1973. The tenure of the Hafez cabinet ended on 18 June 1973 following the Parliament's motion of no confidence.
