Aminul Islam (Born 13 July 1972) is an All India United Democratic Front politician from Assam. He was elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2011 and 2016 from Dhing constituency. [1] [2]

On 6 February 2017, Islam was suspended for 3 days for live telecasting his speech on Facebook in the Assembly. [3]

He was mocked on his idiotic comments, like he claimed that Aurangzeb donated land for Maa Kamakhya temple.

K. Pitchandi, also known as K. Pichandi, is an Indian politician and the current Deputy Speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. A. K. Aranganathan only who defeated K. Pitchandi in 2011. Pitchandi continues to be the speaker. His record was broken in 2011 - 2016.

He was five terms MLA from 1962 till 1972 as an Independent, from 1978 till 1983 as a member of Janata Party, and as a member of Indian National Congress two terms during 1983 to 1985. He was reelected for the term from 1991 to 1996.

Rameswar Dhanowar was an Indian politician from the state of Assam. He was a Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from the Indian National Congress for Digboi. He was made a minister in Hiteswar Saikia and Tarun Gogoi’s cabinet.

Ibrahim Ali Chatuli was a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar, politician and social reformer. He was the Education Minister of Assam Legislative Council, and an elected Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly belonging to the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind political party. His constituency joined the East Bengal Legislative Assembly after the Partition of India in 1947.
