Amir Hossein Zekrgoo (born 1957 in Tehran) is an Iranian artist, art historian and Indologist. He has been professor of Islamic and Oriental arts at the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) from 2001 to 2016. [1] [2] [3] He was awarded Ikuo Hirayama Silk Roads Fellowship by UNESCO.
Zekrgoo is an art historian of Islamic and Oriental arts, researcher of Persian mystical art and literature, and a scholar of comparative religion. He has studied fine arts in the University of Kansas, Indian art in the University of Delhi, and Islamic manuscript and monumental inscriptions at the National Museum Institute of Art History, Conservation and Museology. Besides English, he has studied Classical Persian, Arabic, Turkic, Urdu, Hindi, Sanskrit and Malay languages.
Zekrgoo is an associate member of the Iranian Academy of the Arts and of the Academy of Sciences of Iran, member of the Islamic Manuscript Association (TIMA) and honorary member of All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society(IFACS).

The University of Tehran is the oldest and most prominent Iranian university located in Tehran, Iran. The Shahnameh, also transliterated Shahnama, is a long epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi between c. 977 and 1010 CE and is the national epic of Greater Iran. Consisting of some 50,000 "distichs" or couplets, the Shahnameh is one of the world's longest epic poems, and the longest epic poem created by a single author. It tells mainly the mythical and to some extent the historical past of the Persian Empire from the creation of the world until the Muslim conquest in the seventh century. Iran, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and the greater region influenced by Persian culture such as Armenia, Dagestan, Georgia, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan celebrate this national epic.

Dastūr al-Mulūk by Moḥammad Rafiʿ Anṣāri known as Mirzā Rafiʿā, is one of only three surviving administrative handbooks from early 18th-century Safavid Iran and an important research tool for scholars in Iranology. Parviz Tanavoli is an Iranian sculptor, painter, educator, and art historian. He is a pioneer within the Saqqakhaneh school, a neo-traditionalist art movement. Tanavoli has been one of the most expensive Iranian artists in sales. Tanavoli series of sculpture work Heech are displayed in prestigious museums and public places, such as the British Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hamline University, Aga Khan Museum, and as public art in the city of Vancouver. Additionally Tanavoli has written extensively on this history of Persian art and Persian crafts. Since 1989, Tanavoli has held dual nationality and has lived and worked both in Tehran, and Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, British Columbia.

Mohammad Reza Azadehfar, professor in ethnomusicology and santūr performer, was born in 1969 in Isfahan, the Safavid capital of Iran. He started learning the Iranian traditional dulcimer (santūr) under the supervision of Sa’id Na’imimanesh in 1981 and spent some 4 years at the Conservatory of Isfahan. In 1988 he moved to Tehran and attended classes in the santūr given by Faramarz Payvar and Sa’id Sabet.
Mahmood Fotoohi Rudmajani is Professor of Persian Language and Literature at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. Since 2008 he has served as the editor in chief of Literary Criticism Quarterly, an academic Journal of Tarbiat Modarres university. He was the editor in chief of Journal of Faculty of Letters and Humanities, at Tehran Tarbiyat Moallem University, Iran from 2001 to 2008 and has served as a Member of editorial staff in Monthly philosophy and literature in Tehran (1997–2005). In 2009 he was selected as the chair of Iranian Literary Criticism Association (ILCA), an academic NGO in Iran, for two years. He has hold the position of Lecturer in the Persian language and Iranian studies at Australian National University (ANU) in 2012 and in Belgrade University in 2001-2003. His areas of specialization encompass Persian poetry in Safavied period, Indo-Persian poetry, Persian stylistics, traditional rhetoric, Persian literary history, and teaching Persian language.
Shokouh Riazi was an Iranian Modernist painter, and educator. She a pioneer of modern art in Iran and is thought to have been the first Iranian women to study art in Paris. Riazi taught painting classes, and some members of the Saqqakhaneh movement had been her students.
