The ISSF World Shooting Championships are governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation. World Shooting Championships began in 1897, after the successful 1896 Summer Olympics, and although the ISSF was not founded until 1907, these early competitions are still seen by the organization as the beginning of a continuous row of championships. Lin Ying-shin is a Taiwanese sports shooter. She won her first gold medal at the 2018 ISSF World Cup in Munich in the 10 m air rifle. Lin started off the 2018 season by winning a Junior World Cup silver medal in Sydney, and then claimed a silver in the open category at the ISSF World Cup stage 2 in Changwon. Lin competed at the 2018 Asian Games, and claimed the first gold medal for the Chinese Taipei contingent after finished in the first place in the mixed 10 metre air rifle team event partnered with Lu Shao-chuan. She finished third at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup in 2019, guaranteeing a place at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Amit Sheoran is a pistol shooting coach, who also competed at a national level, He had to leave shooting due to the death of his father. In 2009, he began coaching with minimal facilities with Aryan Gateways Sports Foundation at village Binauli at district Baghpat of western Uttar-Pradesh. Mary Carolynn Tucker is an American sport shooter. She won silver in the 10m air rifle mixed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Previously she has won gold at the 2021 ISSF World Cup in the 10 metre air rifle. She also won a silver medal in 10 metre air rifle team women and a bronze medal in 10m air rifle mixed team in the ISSF World Cup 2021, New Delhi. After the games she took home 6 medals from the Junior World Championships and the 10 meter air rifle championship from the 2021 Pan American Games. Tucker is right handed and is right eye dominant.

Dhanush Srikanth is an Indian deaf sports shooter. He made his Deaflympic debut at the age of 19 representing India at the 2021 Summer Deaflympics. Despite his deafness, he has been competing in Indian shooting circuit and has been regarded as one of the regular faces in Indian shooting fraternity. He is currently coached by former Indian sports shooter Gagan Narang at the Guns for Glory Shooting Academy in Hyderabad.
